after opening a few more normal presents, me, bil, sam, quinn and my mum drive over to pizza express. i end up squished in between sam and billie in the back of the car.

'wow, i was not ready to third wheel today,' sam complains, rolling er eyes. despite this, there's still a massive smile on her face.

i stick my tongue out at her and cuddle closer to billie's side, who puts her arms around me.

billie watches me type, happy to let me reveal her hair. i tap post and switch my phone off, laying my head on her shoulder. she kisses me softly on my forehead, which makes me smile.

'love?' she says quietly.

'mhm?'

'nothing, i just wanted to hear your voice.' i smile a little more.

once we get to the restaurant, the five of us sit in a booth. we eat and talk into the night, billie and i sneaking quick kisses every so often.

'mum?' i open the door to her bedroom. she's sitting on her bed, reading.

'hi, darling. nice birthday?'

'yeah thank you for getting billie here. it's amazing having her back.'

'ah, of course, she's really special to you.'

there's a moment of silence.
