The next day
Roger's POV
Brian hadn't heard what Freddie said about treating him the same as before and I told him in fear that he would do something to upset him. Being hurt by a John or I could sting, but usually everyone took it with a grain of salt. But Brian, he's a whole different subject. That man burned right through your soul, pointing out every single flaw in you and making you feel bad about yourself. He was capable of getting physical too, speaking from experience. Freddie was already frail on the outside, but I'm not sure about the inside though. But knowing the situation he was going through, he most likely was. Being told you're on a death sentence is the worst thing someone could hear and it broke anyone who has been told that. All those things that a person wanted to do with there life went out the window and were instead replaced with endless days of suffering until the untimely death came.
Freddie's POV
Even though I was sick, John and Roger respected my wishes and that was the only thing that made a huge smile form onto my face, lips curling at the sides. They were true friends and I couldn't have been more grateful for them. I went off, doing my own business and turned the corner when a tall figure bumped into me, slamming me onto the wall. Edge dug into my arm and I grasped it, rubbing on it, and I turned to see who did this. I should've known and it didn't surprise me when I met eyes with Brian. Cold hazel eyes, radiating their icy nature onto me, sending shivers down my spine and hair on skin standing on end. Being around him was hard enough but being in his wrath all day? How did Roger do it? A grin formed onto his face and he squinted his eyes, still looking at me.
"Hey, sick boy, need help with anything?'
Mind went blank and all possible reactions were out of the question. Eyes widened, not being to process what had just happened and been said to me. I prepared myself to fire back, but steps in the distance grew closer and a furious Roger and John came into the scene. Roger ran straight for Brian and whacked him in the face, slapping him hard enough for him to go flying backwards.
"Fuck off, Brian!" Roger screamed at him.
Brian grasped his now red and swollen cheek and looked back at Roger, giving him the death stare. Roger pulled away, still looking at him with furrowed brows and creased forehead.
"Leave Freddie alone, he doesn't want to be treated differently and you have to respect that!" John exclaimed at Brian.
Brian put his hands at his sides, forming white-knuckled fists, looking all of us over before storming away into the distance.
