Genre: Action/Adventure/Romance
Plot: Our characters are pitted against each other in a survival reality show/game and either have to kill each other or be killed in order to go free. But there's a twist. Instead of a wild free-for-all slaughter-fest, there's two distinct teams, and whichever one has the most members left alive at the end of the game (which will last 17 days) wins. Anyone remaining on the losing team will be executed. Although I put down Action/Adventure/Romance for this prompt's genre, it really could end up being anything we want.
Setting: A large fenced-in region of wilderness (desert, tundra, fields, forest, swamps, mountains, etc.) inside which our characters are trapped.
