One month later

It's been about a month and for most of it Maya is still crying.
She hasn't been herself and many people find that surprising.
She has calmed down a bit but that was thanks to her family that she did get through a month.
But she has a kinda feeling in her chest it's going to change very fast.
Just like Riley.
But she hasn't said much.
Her adoption process wasn't long and she is already a Hunter.
Which makes her very proud since she always wanted to be part of a family.
But something just doesn't seem as good as it should be.

It was late the afternoon and Maya was sitting at Topanga's.
The one placed she could still be reminded of everyone.
She was busy with homework when the four others came.
But Maya could immediately sense something is wrong.

"Okay your vibes are as bad as ever. What is going on?" Maya asked.
"We have bad news Maya and we don't want you to freak out," Farkle said.
"You're scaring me," Maya said as she put down all her pens and stuff.
"Promise you won't go crazy. Promise us that first," Lucas said.
"Okay," Maya said.
"Me and Zay ars going back to Texas," Lucas said.
"And were going to Einstein Academy," Farkle said.

Maya went blank.
Those sentences.
Two sentences was all it took.
She wasn't like crying but she had no reaction.
Her mind was dead and so was she.
Lucas signald everyone to leave and they went out of the bakery.
It was just him and Maya.
But he didn't even know if she knew he was there.

"I am so sorry Maya. Neither of us wanted it to end like this."
"Why are you doing this? Why are you all leaving at once?" Maya asked.
"Nothing is keeping any of us from going further," Lucas said.
"And what about me? What is going to happen to me when you..."

Maya didn't allow herself to go further.
She just ran out of the bakery.
She had it.
She had it with people leaving.
First her father, then her best friend and now everyone else.
She was officially alone.
