"Hi Ms Smith you want the usual" I said
"Yes baby how are you" She said she's my favorite customer.
"Good and you" I said
"I'm blessed and highly favored" She said she's always someone I can talk to about my problems
"Your order will be out soon" I said and walked away
"Girl you wanna go to Club Moon tonight" Janell asked she's been my bestfriend since 8th grade we've always been like Thelma and Louise
"Can't I gotta work" I said
"You always gotta work you never wanna hang" She said
"You know the rent is almost due so I gotta work extra hours" I said
"Yea But hows your mom" She asked
"Same old bringing men in the house coming in drunk and loud asf I can't wait to move away from her" I said see my mom has been a alcoholic since I was 2 that's why my dad left her
"I wish you could stay wit me but you know I got all them siblings" She said
"Yea I know but I gotta get back to work" I said walking away
"Hi I'm Danae and I'll be you-" I was cut off by the tv
"LL Cool J is looking for 2 leading ladies to be in his video he will be on 23 st studio at 12:00 auditioning be there" I should tell Asia about it but she prolly already knows. I stopped watching when somebody started saying excuse me
"Excuse me" Some guy said I looked at him and he was so fine like the finest man on earth
"Oh im sorry what would you like" I said
"Just a ham, egg and cheese sandwich with home fries and orange juice" he said I was just mesmerized by his features he had big plump lips, curly hair, a Harlem accent and he was tall
"Are you gonna stare at me or go get my food" He said making me walk away
I pulled Janell to the side
"Girl look over there" I told her pointing to the guy
"Girl he is cute" She said
"I know right" I said
"Get his number" She said
"I'm good don't wanna seem easy" I said
"That's my girl play hard to get" She said going back to her customer
"Order 671 is ready" The cook said
I went and got the food and took it to him
"Thank you" He said
"No problem anything else" I said
"Yea your number" He said showing his pearly whites
"Corny But I don't have a phone" I said

"Figure it out" I said walking back to the counter
8 hours later
"See y'all" I said to my co workers
"Taxi" I yelled
One stopped and I got in
"734 53rd st" I told him
Luckily I don't live far from my job I usually walk to work and then get a taxi home
"Ma'am were hear" The taxi driver said
"Thank you and keep the change" I said giving the driver a 20
I unlocked the door and I walked in
"Ma" I yelled great she's not home
I heated up a TV dinner and then turned on living single
I watched a couple episodes of that then went upstairs and took a shower
I put on my night clothes and turned on the radio
"You could get a chance to win tickets to see TLC live in concert all you gotta do is name 3 of there songs and guess there real names correctly this is effective until April 25 only 3 lucky winners I wouldn't want to miss this" The radio host said
"Now let's wind down with Seven whole days by Toni Braxton" The radio host said and then the song came on
I always sleep with the radio on because music just brings me peace and helps me not think of the negative
I listened to a couple songs and then eventually went to sleep and surprisingly my mom didn't come home
