I woke up the next morning on the opposite side of the bed from Cody. I sat myself up to be propped up against the bed frame and examined all of the chips scattered across my bed.

"Hey. Your finally awake." he chuckled. I glanced over to him. His brown hair was a fluffy, messy mess. His shirt was off.

Casual guys if you ask me.

"Yeah, I guess." I laughed. I smiled at him. He came over to sit next to me. I stared out into space.

"Whatcha thinking about?" he asked me, setting a hand on my knee, running circles around my kneecap with his thumb.

"Everything." I laughed. He smiled.

"I should've known, your a thinker." he chuckled. I smiled a small smile. It was quiet for a little while longer.

"Did you want to kiss me?" I asked him finally. He was silent.

"I mean.. I didn't mind doing it.. But it's weird kissing my best friend.. When your dating someone...when the guy your dating happens to be my friend." he said. I nodded and looked down at my nails.

"That's what I was thinking." I huffed. He wrapped his arms around me. I just sat there, staring out into space.

"I'm sorry, Cody." I whispered quietly. He sighed and looked at me.

"Don't apologize." he replied just as quiet as me. I glanced at him. He slowly leaned in, which sent a burning sensation across my stomach. He paused about 4 centimeters from my face, he looked at my lips.

"I forgot." he whispered. I put my hands on the back of his neck.

"Cody. You are my best friend in the entire world. Don't worry about it." I giggled. He laughed.

"Your my bestest estest friend in the entirest worldest!" he chuckled back. I laughed.

"You laugh like a kitten." he laughed.

"No I don't!" I argued back laughing. He laughed. I felt my phone start buzzing.

"Oh. Cameron is calling." I said, once I heard the ringtone.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey babe, do you want to hang out? Cuddle?" he asked.

"Yeah I would love too." I replied. I glanced over at Cody who was looking rather grumpy, or upset.

"Alright baby, I'll come over today. Is that okay?" he asked me.

"Most definitely." I responded with a slight squeak.

"Okie dokie, I love you." he said calmly. I smiled to myself.

"I love you more." I said softly, then hanging up. I set my phone back on my nightstand. I glanced at Cody who was looking upset.

"What's wrong?" I asked him. He shrugged.

"Nothing." he said, "Just hoping we could stay together today." I slumped my shoulders.

"How about on Friday night?" I asked him.

"I guess." he replied, half smiling.

"Okay!" I cheered. He stood up and walked over to my side of the bed and opened his arms. I stood up on the bed and lept into his arms, giving him a hug.

He had muscles let me tell ya.

He set me down and walked out the door.

"Bye Paige!" he yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"Bye Cody!" I yelled back, then bolted out of my room to the balcony over my stairs.

"Cody!" I yelled. He turned around from opening the door.

"Yeah?" he asked. I fidgeted with my fingers.

"Call me tonight." I said softly. He smiled warmly.

"Sure thing, Paige." he said while leaving my house with a smile resting on both of our faces.
