"He's nervous. I think he's finally going to do it today." Sakura stated, tongue licking the drop of melted ice cream running down her spoon.

She was sitting in one of the chairs placed on the balcony of her room next to her father, watching the villagers come and go with their lives.

"Hm. I think you're right, princess. He does look nervous and if that doesn't give him away then the bouquet of roses he's carrying just did." Kizashi Haruno smoothly replied, leaning forward so he could get a better look at the person his daughter and he was currently observing.

"Do you think she'll say yes?" Sakura questions, "She didn't look like she was  ready to start a family when he not so randomly brought that up last week."

Kizashi chuckled, gently shaking his head in amusement and his burgundy, cherry blossom-styled hair swayed along with the action.

"They can get married and have a family later on in their marriage if they aren't ready now Sakura. I'm sure he is not in a hurry." He told his daughter and smiled slightly when he saw her nod slowly in contemplation.

They sat in silence after the little talk and continued to watch the soon-to-be interaction between their next-door neighbor Nanami and her (hopefully) soon-to-be fiancé, Satoshi.

Both father and daughter had been following the couple's courtship turned relationship for roughly a year now and couldn't help but be curious about how their tale would end.

Sakura and her father had started the art of observation about a year and a half ago when she was still three going on four, as a means of killing time before they would start their father-daughter bonding time. It soon became a habit they couldn't break, which then mended and became a part of their bonding time.

They watched everyone and everything. From the old man who owned the small tailor shop at the corner of the street to the black cat who always had a piece of fish in his mouth and to the little girl living on the top floor of Nanami's apartment building, who always overwatered her window plants.

They watched curiously as Nanami opened the door to her apartment and how her face twisted into confusion and slight delight at seeing her boyfriend thrust the bouquet of red roses towards her.

"Can you feel her chakra?" Kizashi questioned curiously and noticed his daughter shake her head in denial.

"No. The chakra barriers you put up are holding. They are a lot stronger than the ones inside my room." Sakura answered, eyes flickering from the couple opposite them and her cup of ice cream. Kizashi hummed, satisfied with the answer, and said nothing else.
