Danganronpa: School of Despair

Chapter 3 - 5

I wake up in my bed, which is really good for a night. I smile and sit up. I rub my head as a headache starts to form though. I grit my teeth. "Akina!"

She giggles. "C'mon Sonya~" she says. "I wanna do something..."

I sigh. "We haven't done anything fun in a while, so fine, but that does not mean you get control the whole time."

She giggles. "Fine."

I groan and get out of bed.

Now I've got this to deal with.

I head out of my room, seeing Thomas once I get to the lounge area. He waves. I walk over and sit next to him. Diane giggles. "Wanna fuck?"

Thomas looks at me, shocked. I grit my teeth. "...Sorry. She's getting... restless."

He slowly nods. "I see. So, any plans today?"

"Akina wants to do something fun," I say, a bit annoyed.

Thomas smiles. "Alright. Something fun it is."

I see Charlotte walking into the lounge from her room followed by Caleb from the boy's dorms.

Talia smiles. "Hey Charlotte," she says, getting up and smiling. "How about you join Thomas and I?" She looks at Caleb. "You can, too."

I regain control as Talia whispers, "You're welcome."

I mentally sigh and keep smiling, pushing Talia back out. Talia walks over to Charlotte and smiles. "Please?"

Charlotte sighs. "You won't leave me alone otherwise."

Caleb shrugs. "Why not?"

Thomas is looking at Talia, a bit confused, but I don't feel like taking over again right now.

We head to the second floor, and Caleb suggests going to the art room. Charlotte shakes her head, looking down. "It makes me think of her."

Talia sighs. "How about we watch a movie then?"

Charlotte glances to the side. "Okay."

They head up to the third floor and go into the TV room. Charlotte and Caleb sit on one of the couches, and Talia starts looking through movies. We suddenly feel a splitting headache as Diane emerges, grabbing the movie Split and putting it into the DVD player. She stays in control until she starts the movie, in which case she leaves the driver's seat, switching with me.

I tense up, not feeling amused that Diane did that, but now I shouldn't take the movie out since it's already started. I sulk back in my chair, annoyed, as we watch it.

Thomas looks over to me and whispers, "Are you okay?"

I shake my head. "Diane picked it," I whisper back.

He sighs. "I figured. You don't seem like you want to be reminded constantly of your mind."

I sigh, displeased with my alters. "It's fine. They make themselves plenty clear to me already."

I watch the movie and shudder. "God, six of us is a handful... I can't imagine 24 different people in my head."

Thomas pats my head, making Talia giggle happily.

The movie continues, and I start to fall asleep.

I wake up to Thomas and one of my alters talking to Charlotte. Gerald gives Charlotte a small smile. "Is there anything you want to do to get your mind off of things?" he asks.

Charlotte sighs, looking back and forth at Thomas and Gerald. She shrugs. "Maybe swimming."

Caleb looks over at her, and Gerald squints at her. Charlotte shakes her head. "I'm not gonna try to kill myself again! ...Either way, you'd stop me..."

I actually make my way into gaining control again, yawning. "What happened?" I ask.

Charlotte looks at me strangely. "What... do you mean?"

"Gerald was in control. I have no clue what has happened since I fell asleep."

She sighs. "You and Thomas talked to me about how I was feeling, particularly about Tsuki and how I'm coping. Well, you guys wanted to do something fun with me."

I nod. "Okay, thanks." I smile. "Let's swim then."

She nods, showing me a small smile.

Charlotte and I walk into the girl's changing room, starting to strip out of our clothes. I sit on the bench, looking at a swimsuit. Charlotte looks at me. "You look really cute, Sonya."

I smile. "Thanks. You do too."

Charlotte sits down, glancing to my chest. "God..." she whispers.

I smirk. "Yeah... I know."

I grab her, teasing her a bit. She giggles, smiling at me. "Hey!"

"You're almost as big as me, Charlotte."

I feel a slight headache and glance to my right, seeing a hint of blue hair in the crack of the door. I play it off like I'm looking around the room, releasing Charlotte. I stand up, putting my swimsuit on at last. "Let's head out. I'm sure the boys are waiting."

Charlotte nods, getting her swimsuit on as well.

I walk out to the pool, seeing Caleb wearing his usual royal clothes. He glances at me, smiling a bit. "You both look pretty happy," he says.

Charlotte nods. "She cheered me up for a little bit."

I hear the boy's changing room door open, and I look back. Thomas walks in, only wearing swim trunks. He smiles, walking towards me. "God, your face is so red, Sonya."

I giggle as I hear Charlotte jump in the pool. I lean closer. "By the way, you should work on your stealth skills."

His face goes red, and I smile, jumping backwards into the pool. Thomas jumps in afterwards. I let Akina take over for a while, having fun splashing Charlotte and Thomas. Akina is probably the neutral of my alters. She's not bad, but she isn't really beneficial to me.

I take control after a while, swimming after Charlotte and playing with her.

Our fun and games are suddenly stopped when a familiar bell rings. We all look at the monitor, seeing Monokuma appear, grinning. "Some bodies have been discovered! Everyone please gather in the dormitory!"

We all go deathly silent, getting out of the pool. We all look at each other most likely thinking the same thing: Who?

Charlotte and I quickly get dressed, running with Caleb and Thomas down to the first floor.

When we reach the dormitory, I feel my alters jolt through my mind as panic spreads through my head.

Joshua and Jane are sitting limply on one of the couches. They each have an arm around each other, and their heads lean against the other. Their throats are slashed open, dripping pink blood down their corpses. Their hands and clasped together with a knife stabbed through them. I see two hearts on the coffee table, drenched in blood. On the wall behind them, "Till Death Do Us Part" is written in blood.

I feel myself black out.
