I grumble, exhausted from my shift. Diane is partly to blame, for... reasons.
I yawn, sitting in the lounge, dozing off a bit when Monokuma walks up. "Puhuhu... Getting frisky, huh?" he whispers.
I grit my teeth, blushing. "There aren't any cameras in the studio rooms..."
"...that you know of," he says, tauntingly.
I clench my fist. "Go away!" I punch the bear.
Monokuma hardly budges, but the stuffing inside of him made the impact soft. He giggles. "Alright, I suppose I should make a new rule. No attempting to harm the headmaster!"
He waddles away, laughing. I grumble to myself. Diane frowns. "...Sorry," she says.
I gasp. "You said..."
"I am, truly. I thought no one would... see."
I take a deep breath, mentally preparing myself as I stand up. "You... actually care about me?"
I walk towards Thomas's room so I can get some sleep. Diane nods. "I actually do. I suppose you might think that's weird."
I giggle. "How mature of you."
She grins. "Don't expect it for too long, you slut!"
I sigh, smiling. "There it is."
She laughs as well, walking into Thomas's room. I guess Thomas is eating breakfast or something. I lock the door and lie on the bed. I close my eyes, falling asleep easily due to my exhaustion.
I suddenly feel Gerald jolt me awake. I look up and see Jacob standing over me with a knife raised up. Ava kicks into action, grabbing my cane and holding it up as a shield. He gasps and Ava kicks out, landing a hit to his stomach. Ava leaps from the bed, looking at the door. It's been kicked open. She looks back to see Jacob coming at us with his knife. He growls, and Ava ducks under his slash. She slams the side of the cane into his head, stunning him enough to throw the busted door open and run down the hall. "Oceanologist! Chemist! Artist! Get the fuck out here!"
She sees Thomas and Roger run to the hall, and Ava turns to see Jacob standing down the hallway. He sprints towards us, and Ava hits his hand, disarming him. She jabs him in the gut with the cane and kicks him across the face, knocking his head into the wall. He goes unconscious, and Ava pants, the adrenaline fading from our system.
Ava exhales, leaning against the wall until I take over. I look over to the other two and pass out.
I wake up in Roger's lab. The three of them stand over me, waiting. I look around. "What happened?"
"It's almost nighttime," Roger says. "You were attacked earlier, but you can go back to sleep. You're not keeping watch tonight anyway."
Charlotte smiles, helping me sit up. She gives me a bowl of pasta. "I got you some food. We've been hardly eating, and that's probably what knocked you out."
I nod. "Probably," I say, taking a bite.
Thomas smiles. "Get some rest okay. Take it easy. They won't be cocky enough to bust into a room with two people."
I nod, eating more of my food.
The next few days pass without much incident.
Roger and I walk through the halls. "Hey," I start. "What do you plan on doing after getting out of here when all of this is over?"
He smiles. "Probably return to my research. Granted, it would be a waste if I died outside to some Monokumas."
I smile. "I'm gonna help Dad."
