Looks like Jasper caught Steven napping and couldn't help herself from holding him. Now that she's been uncorrupted, Amethyst has encouraged her to try and get along with Steven the best that she can, which led to this situation. Jasper won't admit it out loud, but she thinks Steven is adorable and would do anything to protect him.
