we're this close to the end
and i should be closer to the bend
the part where everything goes shiny
and nothing is unhappy or whiny
but it's up and it's down
some days all i can do is frown
but others all i can remember, is how it feels to be fully whole and alive
like nothings ever bad and i'm starting to thrive
then reality sets back in
my parents yell at me
my homework was due yesterday
and i just don't know how much longer i could hold on
