We went to the see the missing posters of kids from Derry. There was a carneval. While the others looked at missing posters Richie and I went to steal some instruments.
Richie took a trumpet and I took a tuba. We started playing the instruments and one of the musicians grabbed the trumpet out of Richie's hands.

"What the fuck dude?"
"Hah!" I said and played the tuba, badly.
Another musician came up and pulled it out of my hands.
"Seriously?"
"Karma." Richie said and punched my shoulder.
We went to join the others.
"What you guys talkin' bout?" Eddie asked, he had 2 ice creams. He gave one to Richie.
"What they always talk about." Richie said and licked his ice cream.
"I actually think it will end." Ben said
"For a little while, at least." He added
"What do you mean?" Beverly asked
"So I was going over all my Derry research and I charted out all the big events. The ironworks explosion in 1908, the Bradley Gang in '35 and the Black Spot in '62. And now kids being... I realized this stuff seems to happen.."
"Every 27 years." Bill and Ben said in usion. Ben slightly nodded.
We wanted to discuss this somewhere more private so we went to the Derry Town square.
On the way there I was talking to Richie. He asked me "You want some?" And pointed to his ice cream
"You gave me your ice cream the other day so.." Richie whispered to me
"Wow, that's very unlike you Tozier." I said
"Take it before I change my mind." Richie said and chuckled
"Thanks." I said and took his ice cream
"No problem Sweetheart." He said and put his hand around my shoulders.
I took the ice cream and put some of it onto Richie's nose.
"I'm not complaining." Richie said and licked the ice cream off his nose.
Not too long after we arrived. I just finished Richie's ice cream.
We all sat on a bench.
"Ok, so let me get this staright. It comes out from wherever to eat kids, for like, a year? And then what? It just goes into hibernation?" Eddie asked
"Mabey it's like.. what do you call it? Cicadas. You know? The bugs that come out every 17 years." Stanley said
"My grandfather thinks this town is cursed." Mike said and gave us a serious look
