Racing..
That's what you did for fun and money

You were 22 at the moment and you dropped out of university to chase your dream of racing. You already had some experience since your dad also raced before, so he gave you the basics

You knew it was stupid of you to drop out, but you couldn't wait any longer. You began with racing in january using your dad's racing car

So this takes us to the racing today. You were jogging back to your car with an arizona tea in your hand. You were dehydrating after the last race. You opened the can and drank it in less than a minute, but spat out the last drop when someone harshly patted you on the back

You coughed a few times before turning around to look behind you, to see your friend Mikan

"You want me to die or something, ya sack o' shit? " you raised your voice a little. Your friend only laughed at your comment

"Don't be like that, your doing something where the chance of death is like 80 percent or something" she said calmly as you rolled your eyes.

"Who do you think i am? Exactly, I'm (y/n) (l/n), i'm experienced and did this like..at least 20 times" you shrugged it off. You then threw the can in the trash bin and placed your helmet on. You heard the announcer telling you the race is gonna begin in less than 10 minutes, you nodded to your friend and got in your car

You were now in fifth place since the last race today. You sighed and looked around you to see your competitors, and saw Katsuki in the first place talking with someone else, you two went to the same high school but parted ways cause you did university in Germany, but he still was your best friend since birth. He had a black with orange body suit and spikey blonde hair, you shook your head and looked infront of you, hands tight on the wheel

"Fuck him, he's a cheater" you said, furrowing your eyebrows when the memory of him hitting your car with his own appeared in your head. You would've won the race if it wasn't for him

The lights changed from red to orange and you accelerated your car, ready to fly first place. When the lights turned green the first car sped up so fast it leaved fume after, but you were still able to see infront of you

"GOOOO (Y/N)!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO!!" said your friend from the tribunes

You turned a curve and went from 5th place to 6th place and accelerated your car again. You heard the announcer saying the 7th car crashed and 2nd car is now first place

'oh? Did Katsu-kun crash or something?'
You thought as you sped up and got back to 5th place. Then you heard a harsh squeak of wheels, meaning someone before you crashed too. You sighed and turned a curve but the car infront of you suddenly stopped and made you slow down too

"What the fuc- *gasp*" you gasped when you saw the 1st car roll over a few 30 times then crashed in a brick wall, the announcer yelled out some words you couldn't undestand and you cursed about all the gods. 2nd, 3rd and 4th place drove away and when you got a closer look at the car your eyes widened when you realized it was fuming so much you knew it was about to catch on fire

You being a caring person, pulled up about 25 meters far from the fuming vehicle, got out of your car and rushed to the other one, not caring if you got disqualified, you cared more about your best friend at this point

You were panicking, so much you could fall on the ground and scream, but you didn't. You clicked your tongue and messily got your helmet off your head and threw it on the ground, when you got to the upside down car, the motor was already a bit on fire so you knew you had to hurry to save Katuki before he burned too. You bent down so you could get a view from inside and saw your blonde friend upside down

"HEY, GET OUT OF THIS CAR OR YOU'LL CATCH ON FIRE!" you yelled at him but didn't response back, that's when you knew...

Tears prickeled your eyes when you yelled again at him, gaining silence once again, so you got his seatbelt off and tried to drag him out yourself, seeing he was unconscious from the impact

After you dragged him a good 5 meters away from the still fuming car, you got on your knees beside him and got his helmet off. You gasped in terrify when you saw his temples bleeding and his eyes closed

"NUMBER 5 GOT NUMBER 1 OUT OF THEIR FUMING CAR. NUMBER 5 IS SURELY GONNA GET DISQUALIFIED BUT DAMN, I'VE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN BEFORE!" said the announcer

'Fucking dammit Katsuki! Why did you have to be so reckless?!' the voice inside your head said.

You knew he was unconcious but weren't sure if he was still alive, so you opened up his suit and got it off until his shoulders, then checked if he still had a pulse

Nothing..

'No...no..please no! Don't let it be real!' you thought. The tears that prickeled your eyes flowed down your face and you tried to calm down and got to thinking. Then an idea came in your head

'i have to give him CPR and mouth to mouth quick'

You made 30 compressions to his heart than gave him 2 breathes again and again, and after a few minutes he coughed and cursed under his breath. You smiled and pulled him into a hug and cried in the crook of his neck

"Oh thank god you're alive!" you mumbled in his neck. He patted your back and you pulled away, wiping your tears off and looked at him

"What the fuck? You realize you got disqualified right?" he said with his usual tone. You chuckled and wipped a last teardrop off your face

"I don't care at this point, all I'm happy about is that you're alive...but still bleeding" you made a disgusted look at his wound but smiled when you met his little smile

"Fucking stupidass" he rolled his eyes and bumped his fist with yours

You both heard sirens coming your way and immediately knew it was the ambulance. You turned your head around and saw the truck that was supposed to help Katsuki in your place, but you were happy nonetheless

Two guys helped Katsuki get on the stretched bed inside the ambulance, and took off to the hospital. After that you got back in your car and drove to the finishing line

3 hours later interviews were happening and one reporter asked you a few quick questions

"How do you feel knowing you got disqualified?" the reporter said

"Honestly i don't care about disqualification at this point, if it was another time, then yes i would've probably start a fight" you chuckled at your response

"But why were you the one to stop and help the other who crashed, and didn't just pass the car?"

"Cause i've also crashed before but no one helped me, so i want to show people that I'm a caring person, and not just that but that guy is my best friend since...birth i guess and..i can't lose him..i wouldn't know what i would do wothout him..in my life" you responded, holding back the tears that were watering your eyes

You bit your lip to the image playing inside your mind but shrugged it off by thinking about the positive

You got a free kiss from your best friend and secret crush
