(Readers POV)

I walked down the street as I looked for my new apartment. All of my stuff has already been moved there I just have to find the place so I can unpack. It's been a hectic few days. First my mom kicks me out, then my parents get a divorce and to top it all off I now work at a science lab. Actually that last one isn't too bad. I've actually been super excited about going to work there tomorrow. I just need to find my apartment, unpack, go to sleep and ready or not here I come new job!

I continued walking for a few minutes without any luck. Maybe I could ask some locals? I spotted a family on their lawn. It looked like a dad and his kids. One was talking to him and the other was just playing her video games. I feel ya kid. I walked over and tried not to stutter. "Uhm, hi. I was just wondering, if you guys arent to busy, if you new where the new apartment building was?" They all looked at me in silence and I started to sweat. Oh boy. Finally the dad, I think, got up and walked over to me. "I know exactly where they are. Let me walk you there. Kids, stay here and be good." Yep, dad. "Oh! Thank you, sir! But you really dont have to walk me all the way to the apartments." I blushed. "Nonsense. It'll be fine." He started to walk off and I followed, feeling his kids eyes on my back. A few more minutes of walking later we made it to the new apartment building! It was right next to the labs too! This was great! I dont need to spend money on getting a car just so I could get to work. Although I didnt really see a lot of cars around here. Maybe these people like to walk. "Well, here we are!" "Thank you so much, sir! Would you like to come in for some tea or coffee maybe? I havent really unpacked so there might be a bit of a mess but-" "I'd love tea!" Ok, that was kinda rude. "Oh! Hehe ok, come on in!" We walked up a few flights of stairs, as I dont trust my life with an elevator, and made it to my room. I opened the door to find a load a boxes scattered everywhere. They were mostly in the corners of the rooms so it wasn't to terribly bad. He followed me in and took a seat on the couch. I walked into the kitchen and found two cups and some bags of green tea. "I hope you're alright with green tea, it's really the only thing I have at the moment. I plan on getting some more later on." I said as I walked into the living room again. "Green works perfect! It's actually my favorite!" "Oh really? Heh, lucky guess huh?" He nodded slightly and I think he was smiling, but i couldn't really tell because of his coat. "Where did you move from?" "Hm? Oh, uh, (hometown), actually." "That's quite a ways away." He took a sip of his tea. "Yeah, just tryin to get away from stuff. That and my jobs here so...heh." I scratched the back of my neck nervously. I was never one for idle chit-chat. "Well, it's very nice to meet you, I'm professor membrane, and you are?" "Oh! My names (y/n)! Nice to meet you too, professor."

3rd person POV

"Ugh. The idiot finally went home. I can finally get rid of this putrid form I had to take." (Y/n) sighed as she stood infront of a wall mirror, her human body shifting and changing into a curvy alien figure. "That's much better." She sighed in relief. A small robot floated up to her side with a glass of whiskey balanced on its head. "Ah. Thank you, B.I.O." (biological intelligence operator) It hummed in response and floated away as she took the glass. She walked over to a desk and started ruffling through papers. "This planet seems..simple
...although I do believe that their are other aliens here. That's the whole reason I came here, Isn't it? I came here to find a better suited planet for myself. Away from all those barbarians." B.I.O hummed softly as it rubbed her arm. She looked down at the machine and smiled. "B.I.O, what would I do without you?"

Dib and Gaz!!!

"I'm telling you Gaz! She's an alien!" Dib yelled at his sister as she rolled her eyes and continued playing games. "You've said that about every new person that comes into town." "I have not!" He crosses his arms and looks up in dismay. Gaz rolls her eyes again and sighs. "Children! Dinner is ready!" They hurry down stairs into the dining room, where they sit down for their meal. "Dad, what do you think about this new girl?" Membrane looked up from his food at Dib. "I think she will be a lovely new assistant at the labs." "What?! She's gonna be working there?" "Well of course! She starts tomorrow!" Dib sinks in his chair. "Ooh boy."

[Tell me what you guys think!! Theres probably not gonna be too many chapters cause I'm a lazy bum]
