Tonight was going by so slow! I was ready hours ago but no one wanted to go to bed aperently. I fell asleep for a bit just to talk to Nebu. He had asked me to call him Bill. Lets just say that didn't go over so well with me.

He aked me why and I explained about Wierdmaggedon. He looked slightly sheepish, and told me that it was indeed his fault that had happened. He said that he had an rage episode after someone we were once friends with tried to take my place, in both our bed and on my throne. Her name was Pyronica.

He explain how he tried to turn her down nicely but that she wouldn't take no for an answer. It had gotten so bad that he had entered our room and found her undressed in our bed. He had the sheets burned and new ones made. After that, she still didn't give up, so he kicked her out of the palace and she tried to start an army against him. He went into a rage and, after finding out where she was trying to recruit people, decided to destroy the town to set an example. He was so lost to the rage he held for her that he didn't see what was right in front of him.

After assuring him that I forgave him, I forced myself awake. Mable was sleeping soundly in her cot. I made my way to the flaps of our tent to make sure everyone else was too. All the lights were out so I checked my phone for the time. 11pm on the dot, time to go.

I went back into the tent and gathered my luggage, thankful Mable was a heavy sleeper. I would miss her; but, after remembering our past life, I couldn't stay to have a repeat. I got my bags into the car and went for my stash of supplies, making it there and back without people waking up was a mericle. Either way, I got everything loaded up and the car started in less than 5 minutes. As I sped away I could hear someone calling my name, multiple people actually.

I could see three small figures attempting to follow me on foot for a moment before turning into little black dots in my rearview mirror. My family was calling to me, begging me to stop just like the last time, but this time I'm prepared for any and everything. This time I wouldn't die struggleing for my life. This time, the person who tries to stop what should be will die at my hand!

I was happy to be on my way, and I had done some research on the palace before falling asleep. It was still standing proudly, closed to the public. The people could look upon it, but not enter. Nebu was said to be burried inside, sarcophagus near the dual thrones. Only his lost love could enter and wake him. The guards would recognize the lost queen by the unique birthmark they wielded.

The drive was taking forever in my opinion. It was nearly 2am by the time I reached the town. I still had another 10 miles to go. So little distance left, but it felt like an eternity to me. The town was more of a village, but it looked like the vilage I grew up in had moved about a mile to be at the spot where Nebu and I had some of the best times of our lives.

*Flashback*

He had proposed to me here, when it was still just a silent oasis away from people. He had asked me almost jokingly many times to be his queen. But when he actually got down on one knee and asked me, ring in hand, I couldn't believe he was the same man I fell for. He had his royal atire on, and had a very extravagant ring clutched tightly in his trembling hands. He sent a letter to me through our secret messenger, telling me to meet him at midnight where we fell in love, just a prince and a peasent.

A suprise awaited me there. He had made a picnic up, near the edge of the water, pillows were everywhere  and food was sat to the side. Everything was so organized, but I didn't see Nebu anywhere. As I made it to the pile of pillows, I noticed somone by the tree to the right of me, so I be-lined for them. Nebu was standing in his royal fatigues, stairing over the water looking a bit green.

He heard me aproching and looked over, giving me the same look he always did,  but it was tainted somehow. Joy, delight, and love and so many other emotions that had no name flashed upon his face. He gave me the sweetest smile, like usual it held mysteries yet to be solved. I felt severely underdressed for the occasion, more so than usual, as I cought a look at his clothes. That, however didn't deter us from enjoying eachother's companionship.

As the night wore on, he became even more nervous. I asked if he was alright and he said everything was fine. Then, out of nowhere, he pulled me to my feet and slid down to one knee, pulling the box that held the ring out of a hidden pocket behind his sash.

*End flashback*

Finally, the palace came into view. It was breathtaking. 3 towers with golden dome tops, a grand marble entrance, and many gaurds. The guards looked to be made of stone. They each had two spears, one in each hand, and they had them crossed with the guard on either side of them. Keeping people out.

I knew they would move for me. They may be 'made if stone' but in reality its the guards from when I was known as Akil, made imortal by a spell to guard the Palace and the Pharaoh from those wishing to steal or harm him. I knew Bill didn't actually kill himself, he put himself into a eturnal slumber that only the love of his eturnal life could awaken him from. I'm home at last!
