Ok I have read a story about this couple on fanfiction.net and the only reason why they got together is because they couldn't break Shadow and Amy up.
1) I would rather go for Sonamy than Sonic&Maria and I don't even like Sonamy
2) Maria is wayyyyy out of Sonic's lead

3) Maria wouldn't like someone like Sonic because he eats to many chili dogs
4) Shadow would be pissed off this he found out his best friend and his enemy were going out
5) Amy and Shadow would team up and attack Sonic until they were satisfied
