Kelsey (my little sister) and I are currently running around the front yard playing tag. Soon enough, Sam's truck pulls into the driveway. I stop running and make my way to the driver side door.

He opens his door a little, letting me open it fully. He gets out, pulling me into a hug.

"Heyy" I giggle.

"Hey" He laughs.

"Y/n!! You forgot about mee" Kelsey pouts.

"I did not, I was just welcoming our guest." I tell her.

"Who are you?" She asks Sam blankly.

"I'm Sam." He says with a slight chuckle.

"I'm Kelsey, but everyone calls me Kels." She tells him.

We all go inside, waiting for my parents to come out of the kitchen. We watch Kelsey's favorite show for a little while, my parents walking into the room.

"Hey, you must be Sam. It's so nice to meet you!" My mom smiles, hugging him as if she knew him forever.

"Nice to meet you too." He smiles, returning the hug.

"Joshua." My dad introduces himself.

"Sam." Sam replies, a short nod in his head.

"What's for- who in the hell are you?" My brother cuts himself off, walking down the stairs.

"I'm Sam." Sam says nervously.

I don't blame him, my brother is very intimidating.

"Cool. You play Minecraft?" My brother asks.

"Sometimes, I'm mostly surfing though." Sam explains.

"I see." My brother says, walking off to get food.

We eat dinner with my family, making short conversation here and there.

"So Sam, I heard you like to surf?" My dad blurts.

"Uh yeah, my dad taught me when I was young." Sam replies.

"Cool, when did you start?" My dad continues.

"When I was like 5 I think." San explains.

"Long time. Ever been tubing?" My dad questions.

"No sir."

"You should come with us one of these days. We go all the time." My dad invites him.

We finish dinner, rinsing our plates. We go upstairs to watch a movie, Kelsey eventually joining. We all fall asleep, completely disregarding the movie.
