after the both of them got ready in the bathroom and changed their clothes, they took their phones, the key ti the room and left. changkyun wore black jeans and a similar hoodie to the one he wore after showering the night before and kihyun left on wearing his sweatpants and an oversized hoodie from changkyun. kind of obviously, they did behave like some sort of boyfriends and for that minhyuk and jooheon couldn't stop teasing them, but more than getting annoyed about it, both of them kinda liked how it all sounded. they didn't say anything contrary. after arriving downstairs, they joined the other members and all of them walked together to that one café, where they would have their meal. hoseok discovered it on the first day in boston and they wanted to see how it was, so they finally decided to go there. arriving a few minutes later, they were led to a table at the very back of the big room and sat down altogether. thankfully they weren't recognized by anyone and they wanted it to stay like that. it's not that they didn't like being recognized or meeting fans outside schedules, but for now they simply needed some space. especially because changkyun was still quite sick and they were sure that if anyone would've seen them, rumors would be spread from which their fans could get worried and that's what they gladly avoided. however, after settling down they ordered their food and from that point on, all of them just talked, enjoying that they were all together now considering it's been a while since they had enough time to have such a meal like that.
"hey, kihyun? were you sleeping in changkyun's room again?" hyunwoo suddenly asked.
"yeah, why?"
"see, i have nothing against that but you do know what the manager told us. he wouldn't be so happy if he found out about that. i'm just saying."
"i don't care, hyung. i want to take care of changkyun, he's still sick and i want to be there in case it may get worse again. and he's been stuck in that hotel room for days now, a bit of company isn't the worst." kihyun answered.
"but ki, you know, i'm quite lonely?" hyungwon chuckled.
"sorry for that-"
"nah, it's fine. wonho and minhyuk hyung spend most of their time in our room since it's the biggest." he continued.
"no, actually changkyun's room is bigger. it's because he has the one person one." kihyun smiled before taking another bite of the food in front of him.
"listen, i get it, okay? but i think it would be better if you'll sleep in your room, at least some nights." hyunwoo added, causing kihyun's mood to change immediately and changkyun noticed that. under the table, he took the older's hand and squeezed it lightly in order to stop him from arguing on this.
"hyung, it's okay. really. i feel a lot better, my throat doesn't hurt that much anymore and i don't think that the fever will come back. i promise, i'll be fine. you don't have to worry so much about me." changkyun said, his voice in a serious tone.
"are you sure?" kihyun looked him directly into the eyes.
"yes, ki. i'm sure. if you want it so badly, you can stay with me during the day, alright?" he chuckled.
"i will, kyunnie. i'd rather spend my day inside with you than spending it outside, knowing that you're stuck in that room." kihyun smiled again, now squeezing the younger's hand in return. they all enjoyed the meal, it was really good and a nice change to the delivery food they usually eat on tours. after they ate, they just kept on talking for a while, staying seated, simply relaxing in the café until they'd finish their drinks as well. and honestly, just with all seven of them eating together deliciously, talking and enjoying each other's companies, they haven't had such a great time in so long. with their lives simply being like this, always busy and never enough time to do what they wanted, days like this were quite rare, so they made sure to enjoy every minute of it.
