after they were done eating, they washed the dishes together. kihyun was cleaning the plates in the sink while changkyun was drying them and putting the dishes back where they belonged. it took them a bit longer than fifteen minutes and before they'd continue watching movies, kihyun went to the bathroom again. meanwhile he let changkyun choose which movied he'd want to watch. he made it himself comfortable in the older's bed and waited for kihyun to come after making space for his hyung to sit next to him.
"you've already got it?" kihyun asked after he closed the bathroomdoor.
"yep. come here." changkyun said, patting the empty place next to him on the bed. at that kihyun just smiled and did what he was told, sitting next to the maknae. as soon as the movie started, a comfortable silence formed between them with nothing more than the light on the nightstand next to them illuminating the room. changkyun enjoyed the movie a lot considering it was a genre he liked, an action movie to be exact. he always loved those. or maybe this content feeling came from the fact that he was so much better by now and his cold appeared to finally go away. or maybe it was because of the fact that he and kihyun could spend so much time together. or maybe this happy feeling came from the fact that in this very moment, kihyun put his head down on changkyun's shoulder. yeah it was probably the fourth one. and the third, and the second and the first one. there were more than enough reasons for changkyun to feel this happy right now.
about one and a half hour passed when changkyun felt kihyun's head becoming heavier. he wasn't bothered by it though since he was really focused on the movie. but a little bit later, when he then noticed that the older's head slowly sunk down into the crook of his neck, changkyun couldn't help but smile to himself. kihyun fell asleep on his shoulder. he thought it was the cutest, so it took him a while until he recollected himself and this strange fluttery feeling in his tummy faded again, but after slightly shifting in his place so that kihyun would be in a somewhat more comfortable position, the maknae just continued watching the movie, not minding it at all. however, after the movie ended, he didn't quite know what to do, so firstly, he slowly closed the laptop and tried setting it down on the nightstand next to him. successfully done that, he turned back to the older, trying his best not to wake him up and once again, he succeeded.
"how could you even fall asleep watching that movie? it was so loud and intense." he softly whispered against kihyun's hair, chuckling softly. now changkyun's mission was it to get up without waking him up. he carefully lifted the older's head, slowly putting it down onto the pillows and sneaking out of the covers, almost falling out of the bed doing that. he wanted to go back to his own room, worried that he could still get him sick and besides that, he heard what hyunwoo said the day before and therefore wanted to listen to him. he also didn't know when the other's would come back, so he'd rather be in his room making sure not to bother any of them, especially hyungwon since he was kihyun's actual roomate. but right at that moment, when he got out of the bed and was about to pull the blanket up so that the older wouldn't get cold during the night, kihyun took his hand.
"stay.." kihyun mumbled sleepily, his eyes still closed.
"oh, did i wake you up? i'm sorry-"
"stop. just- stay here please."
"but hyung- i don't know about the others and- and you could still get sick. i don't want that."
"please?" kihyun's eyes were open by now, half open only but he was staring directly into changkyun's. he couldn't resist, so he climbed back into the bed, making kihyun smile happily as he put his head on changkyun's shoulder again. it was quiet. changkyun let out a sigh before the both of them closed their eyes again, kihyun cuddled up against the maknae. but just before they fell asleep, the older spoke up again.
"i could fall asleep because i was with you. the movie was intense, yeah, but you were really warm and comfy."
