The next morning Iris and Leon has left to go do some more sloothing however I'm pretty sure Iris only went along to question her father more about what happen to her mother.
I stayed in my PJ's since they where basically normal clothes anyway. Walking around to my porch I sat on a old white swing chair and looked out at the backyard, it was a cloudy day though it managed to stay warm, this towns weather was a mystery.
"Darlin'?" I turn my head to see Jasper standing on the outside of the porch with a nervous look in his eye. The others are probably still wondering how to approach me... but at least one of my mates wants me. Just seeing him made the growing ache in my heart ease up.
I held out my arm for him to sit by my side. He sped over and sat stiffly next to me "Jasper" I mumbled making grabby hands at him. He smiles slightly and leaned into my side giving me the chance to pull my legs up into the couch forcing him to lay between my legs as I ran my hand through his hair.
His body relaxed after a while of me playing with his hair and he rested his head on my lower stomach "you make me feel safe" he stated after a while.
Grinning I looked down at him "you make me feel safe, too" I didn't want to ruin the moment by asking what had brought this change forward, I was to scared he'd back away again so I stayed silent and played with his blonde stained hair.
We stayed like that for what felt like hours. No words where spoken after that we both just enjoyed each other's presence. That was until the front door was pulled open and slammed shut.
"Aunty Darling!!!" The childlike call drew me and jasper apart as he vanished quickly as Iris ran through the back door.
My smile dropped when I was her attire, her once grey jump suit was drenched in what smelt like bleach. I jumped up and grabbed her running to the shower and strip her clothes.
She told me what happen, well as much as she could understand. Apparently something was chasing her and Leon, Leon doused the thing with bleach and she got hit as well, then she ran and wound up here while Leon is out there.
"Good god... I'll call your dad to let him know your safe" she nodded and yawned heading off to the living room and snuggling up on the couch as I tried to call Leon however his phone kept going to voice mail making me fear the worst for my friend.
Sighing and giving up after the 7th call I walked into the living room after getting into gear though it's not the most practical attire but it's worked for me before.

"Iris? I'm gonna be gone for a bit pizza is in the fridge okay?" She waves me off as I spot she's already found the pizza and is eating while watching iron man 2.
Well she's set, I assume she's used to being left alone in hotel rooms. I head out the door just as a small branch snaps near me causing me to draw my blade and get into a defensive stance.
