Liam could say he was surprised but he already knew this was bound to happen eventually, true Zayn had told him a few days ago they needed to talk, but nothing was said between them since that day.
He knew that big fat elephant in their lives needed to be dealt with eventually, but he really hoped they didn't have to speak of it, He debated with himself but then decided why not, as he picked up the call "Sup" he had said
"Hello love" Zayn's voice came through the phone and Liam knew , this will be another awkward two or so minutes.
"I am love now?" He asked softly
"You don't like it?" Zayn's voice was alarming and Liam couldn't help but chuckle,
"Does it matter really Malik?" Liam smiled to himself.
"Maybe" Zayn said softly , there was a silence for about 10 seconds before Zayn said what they both avoided "So, we fucked, what does that make us."
"Two grown ups with needs" Liam replied
"Cool, so we are still rivals right?" Zayn asked
"Even if we got married Malik, we would still be rivals." Liam laughed so did Zayn.
Liam didn't notice when Danielle came over, or how she had texted Louis to join her, because Liam was too lost in his conversion to notice her,
Zayn and Liam talked about the randomest things they could think of, from Liam's fear of spoon, to Zayn's favourite Barbie movie, Liam had laughed uncontrollably for what Zayn thought was an eternity before admitting Aisha was his favourite Winx, from the Winx Club, and Zayn could not help but laugh like as if his life depended on it.
They both would swallow gasoline if they have to rather than admit They both enjoyed talking to each other, they were both reluctant to end the call, but Justin had called Zayn to help him with something Liam didn't understand, they said their goodbyes but not before a challenge was thrown
"A competition, we do our best work, post it online and the fans get to vote, the winner shall be Crowned King, the loser has to buy the winner diner." Zayn said
"Deal, Malik better get saving, I'm expensive." Liam chuckled
"I will try." Zayn said and they both chuckled and ended the call
