Chapter 17: Going Back for the Badge! (Gray's Chapter)

Hey everyone!!!! Thanks for reading! :) well i have nothing else to say here! Anyways, onwards to the STORY!

Pokèmon:

Gray: Max (M) (Ivysaur), Steve (M) (Charmeleon), Pikachu (F)

Orange: Charmeleon (M), Growlithe (M), Pidgeotto (F), Eevee (M)

Brown: Squirtle (M), Butterfree(M), Nidoran (M)

Pink: Saura (F) (Bulbasaur), Pidgey (M), Squirtle (F), Eevee (F)

Dan: Venusaur (M), Raichu (M), Rhydon (M), Lapras (M), Golem (M), Nidoking (M)

Susan: Venusaur (F), Flareon (F), Nidoqueen (F), Pidgeot (F), Raichu (F), Lapras (F)

I woke up at around 6:30 A.M i usually wake up at 9 or 10. I woke up so early so i could get more training going on with my pokèmon. I change into my normal clothes and put away my pajamas. I don't need to fix up my hair after i wake up, but i do it anyway. It's short hair but i'm not bald, if that's what your thinking. I finished brushing my teeth too. I then looked at Pink and wondered what was going on between me and her. I get a weird feeling around her, not sure what it is. But i shrug it off and go to the battle arena behind the pokèmon center.

I get there and i look at all 3 pokeballs before i sent them all out. "Come out, everyone!" Max, Steve, and Pikachu all came out. They still appeared tired, however. I told them. "Guys if we want to win the badge we need to train a little more!" The pokemon look up at me and then instantly wake up and nod. "Alright! Pikachu practice on hitting Max, Max practice dodging Pikachu's thunderbolts. Steve help Pikachu out then after a while switch it up!" They continue this numerous times and then that's when a Pidgey appeared. "Oh a Pidgey! Guys stop!" Everyone stopped and then i commanded Steve to attack. "Steve use metal claw!" "Charmeleon!" It hit the Pidgey with a Metal Claw. It was really weak before the attack landed, however, it appeared injured. I threw a pokèball at it. "Alright Pidgey you're apart of the team!" I say as it hits the pokemon. It rolls around for only 5 seconds then it 'dinged' showing that it was caught. "I should take it to get healed." I said as i returned everyone. I went inside the pokèmon center.

I waited for Pidgey and when Nurse Joy came in the face she had me concerned. "I'm sorry to say this but... Pidgey has a sickness that we aren't familiar with..." She said while i looked at the emergency room, thinking about Pidgey. "W-what does it do?" I ask as I look at my feet. "The sickness he has makes him weaker than his other species. It also kills the host slowly but when it actually takes affect it kills it instantly." She says while giving me Pidgey's pokeball. "Are going to put him down?" She asked me i shake my head a no. "No, i'll still use him anyway." I say while looking at his pokèball. "Alright then..." She said as she walked back in the treat my other pokemon. I guess i lost track of time. It was 8:27, Pink should be walking up around now. I look at Pidgey's status, Nurse Joy was right, they were low but to me it doesn't matter. I will treat it like my other 3, with care affection and love. I know he will make a great addition to the team. Right on cue, I hear Pink's soft voice. "Hey, Gray, why so early?" She said while sitting next to me. "I was training you know. Then i caught a Pidgey and," "Oh! A Pidgey?! That's great!" Pink said while interrupting me. "Oh hehe sorry, go on?" I continue with my statement. "And it turned out to be sick and it'll die some day from the sickness." She went from happy and cheery to sad and upset. "Oh... I-i'm sorry to hear that." She says as i just nod and say. "It's okay. I'll make sure his last years or months full of fun for him!" Pink smiles as she agrees with me. Then Nurse Joy comes and gives me the other three pokèballs. "Thank you for waiting, we hope to see you again!" She says with her usual joyful attitude. I take them and put them on my waist. I then tell Pink. "We should tell everyone to wake up so i can go to the gym." She stands up and nods in agreement. "Right! Let's go!"

Enzo said he had to leave so he left on to else where and Jack did same. So it was down to the 6 of us again. I take a deep breath and then look at the gym. I then clench the pokèball of my first pokèmon. "Let's go!" I yell as i enter. Lt. Surge gave his usual intro and i then challenge him to a rematch!!

"Okay, Gray, let's make this quick a 2-on-2 battle ok!" Lt. Surge says as i nod and release Steve. "Go Steve!" he comes out more confident than ever. "Char!" He says. "Go Pikachu!" The pokemon comes out with electricity coming out of it's cheeks. "Use thunderbolt!" "Use dig!" Thunderbolt hit first but then Steve dug underground and quickly hit Pikachu. "Now use Ember!" Charmeleon released fire from it's mouth then. "Use thunderbolt!" "Quickly use flamethrower!" Flamethrower won against Thunderbolt and then Pikachu fell down to the ground. "Return, Pikachu, go Raichu!" The same pokèmon from last time out, same as Pikachu, more electricity came out of it's cheeks. "Use electro ball!" He said, Steve quickly dodged however. "Use dig!" Steve then dug underground and Raichu was confused. "Use Thunderbolt on the hole!" I knew what he was doing so i then commanded Steve right when he hit Raichu. "Use metal claw to escape the thunderbolt!" Steve was about to hit Raichu but then... "Use quick attack!" It used quick attack, to not only escape, but to attack too. "Now finish him with electro ball!" Steve was then quickly hit with electro ball. He then fainted... "No... Steve," I said as i return him. "Thanks Steve. You were awesome!" I then put his ball away on my waist and then take out Max's ball. The pokèball with the lead design. It brings me back when i first got Max as a Bulbasaur. "Go Max!" I say as he comes out, looking even more confident like Steve. "Use quick attack!" "Use poison powder in front of you!" Just as planned, Raichu ran into the attack and was now poisoned. "Okay now use Razor Leaf!" Razor-sharp leaves were released and hit Raichu. I could tell one more hit and he faints! "Use electro ball!" "Use Razor Leaf!" Electro hits and so does Razor Leaf. Then the smoke covers up the battlefield. The two pokèmon were barely standing. Then that's when Raichu fell down then Max did. "Alright! Max we won!" I say as i go and pick him up. I hear Raichu being returned and then Max says. "Saur... Ivy!" He sounded very weak so i told him to return. "Thanks, Max." I tell him as Lt. Surge goes to me. "Good battle, kid, you really improved. I am honored to give you the thunder badge!" He says while handing me my newly earned badge. I quickly put it inside my badge case and put it away. "Thanks so much!" I say as i go up to my friends. "See! I told you, you can do it!" Pink said as i nod and say. "I couldn't do it without you!" Then Dan says. "Look Gray me and Susan have to go to Kalos. I have a challenger waiting. We'll be back soon!" I then nod and fist-pump him and say. "Alright see you later, bro!" He nods and then walks while holding Susan's hand. "Well it's just us four again!" Orange said and all of us nod and Brown says. "Yup... I guess so." "Well look who finally talked!" Pink jokingly.

It was sunset. It looked so beautiful. I was happy we were on our way to Celadon city for my next badge. I can't wait for my fourth badge! "We should get going." Orange says as i nod then say. "Race you to the next pokèmon center!" I then run while Orange says. "Hey! No fair get back here!!"
