Chapter 18: The storm

Okay guys! 305 reads already! Thanks sooooo much! Also i'm adding in the level system! Also this is the longest chapter i ever made, hope you enjoy! I will make my chapters longer now! Okay i'll shut up now. Anyways, onwards to the STORY!

Gray: Max Level 30 (M) (Ivysaur), Steve Level 28(M) (Charmeleon), Pikachu level 24 (F), Pidgey Level 22(M)

Orange: Charmeleon Level 30(M), Growlithe Level 28(M), Pidgeotto Level 28(F), Eevee Level 23(M)

Brown: Squirtle Level 29 (M), Butterfree level 27(M), Nidoran Level 24(M)

Pink: Saura Level 28 (F) (Bulbasaur), Pidgey Level 26(M), Squirtle Level 21 (F), Eevee Level 22 (F)

The four have been walking on their way to Celadon City for 2 days now. They should be getting close. The day wasn't as bright and sunny. Today it was cloudy and grey. "Uh oh... It looks like it's going to rain." Orange said as Gray looked up and noticed something. "Looks like a storm's coming..." He said as Pink looks up and then asks. "How can you tell?" Gray looks at her as she does same and he replies. "A trick my father taught me before he left." Pink remembered Gray's father. He was 6'2, same hair as Gray and eye color too. Gray was pretty much a mini-me of his dad. Expect they had different personalities. But we'll save that story for another day. Brown felt a drop of rain and then said. "Rain drop." When he said that the other three felt it too. "Oh crap." Gray said as he looked around and saw a cave. "Guys! Look a cave!" The three looked and indeed there was a cave. "Well let's go!" Brown shouted as he ran to the cave. "Right!" The rest said as they followed him.

They went inside the cave, all wet, and then Gray checked the time.
"It's 8:17." Orange then checked too and released that Gray wasn't joking. "Do we have to sleep here?" Pink asks. Gray nods then says. "I'm afraid so..." Then that's when Gray's stomach starts rumbling. "I guess it's time for dinner?" He says while scratching the back of his neck. Orange then laughed and so did Pink, Brown had no reaction however. "I suppose so!" Orange says as he gets out some cooking supples. "So what's for dinner then?" Pink and Gray asked in sync. "How about," Orange says as he pulls out some stuff to make mac n' cheese. "Macaroni and Cheese!" Gray looked over Orange's shoulder as he saw that Orange was preparing the food. "Yes!" He said as Pink only giggled and said. "Sounds yummy!" Pink got a hairbrush from her bag and starting straightening her hair. "You like your hair straight, don't you?" Gray asks as he sits down and then Pink sits next to him. "I sure do!" She said while giving him a smile. "Well it looks nice on you, hehe." Gray said as he scratched his cheek. "Thank you!" Pink said while lightly blushing. "Why not let our pokèmon hang out?" Gray said as he took out all four pokèballs he owned. "Sure sounds great!" Orange said as he released Charmeleon, Pidgeotto, Growlithe, and Eevee. Then Gray released Max, Steve, Pikachu, and Pidgey. Pink then released Saura, Pidgey, Squirtle, and Eevee. Brown released Squirtle, Butterfree, and Nidoran.

It's some time that the pokèmon were out. The gang finished their Mac N' Cheese and the pokèmon finished their food as well. Then after they were all done eating Saura went to Max. They started talking and stuff then that's when. Orange brought up. "You know the pokèmon you hold closest to you act the same as their trainers act with each other?" Pink had a sudden suprised face and said. "What?! Really?" Orange nods as Gray checks his pokègear. "Let me check..." He says as he looks at Prof. Oak's research with pokèmon. "Yup that's right..." Gray said while not being aware he was blushing. "Hey! Gray your blushing!!!" Orange said while Gray gets a confused face and says. "W-what does it mean when i blush?" The three face palm and then Orange says. "Two meanings. One is showing embarrassment. The other is sort of hard to explain. You should know what the second one means by now." Gray shakes his head and then Brown finally says. "Oh my god seriously? Do i have to tell him, Pink?" Pink quickly shakes her head in embarrassment and then Gray asks. "Tell me what?" She then says. "Oh nothing!" She hid her face from Gray and then he just said. "Oh okay." Orange and Brown face palmed again. "Are you dumb?" Brown asks as Gray turns to him and says. "N-no? Why?!" Brown laughs and says. "To this you are... But that's none of my business." Then Gray got up and sat on a rock and started thinking. Then that's when he saw Pidgey was alone. The other pokèmon were avoiding him. Gray went to the Pidgey and said. "Hey Pidgey what's wrong?" Then Pidgey looked at it's trainer and said. "Popo po pooo!" Then pointed to the others. "They don't want to play with you?" Gray said as Pidgey nodded and then Gray hugged the bird pokèmon. "If you want i can play with you." The pokèmon was then very happy that someone would actually play with him! He was overwhelmed! "Popo!" Pidgey said in excitement. Then that's when the trainer and his pokèmon started to play together. "Here i got a ball that you can fetch!" Gray said as he took out a ball looking similar to a master ball. "Popo!" Pidgey said as Gray threw the ball. Although Pidgey was sick. He still moved as fast as a normal Pidgey. Pink saw how close Gray was getting along with his Pidgey, making sure it wasn't feeling left behind. "Oh Gray..." She thought to herself as she smiled and went back to playing with Saura and Max. Brown was just staring at his Pokèdex and seeing some stuff. Orange was peacefully reading a book about the elite four and the legendary trainer, Red. Although Orange appears to be a bookworm, he isn't actually nerdy at all. He's the opposite actually. He likes to play sports, he played in the school little league soccer and football team in 4th grade. Speaking of the school. The school they attended only had 5 grades. The four only made it to 4th grade and from there they were able to graduate, 5th grade isn't mandatory. The storm was still raging and Pidgey was tired so Gray said that to take a break and it was probably for the best. Then that's when Pink challenged Brown. "Hey Brown!" She said as Brown looked at her and said. "What?" Pink then went up to him and say. "I wanna battle!" Brown just closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and says. "Okay."

"Okay, Pink, 2-on-2. Got it?" Brown said as she nods and says. "Take a stand, Pidgey!" Her bird pokemon flew into the battlefield as then Brown says. "Let's do it Squirtle." The turtle pokèmon sprang into action and the two took battle position. "Squirtle use Water Pulse!" Squirtle then releases a powerful water type move then Pink said. "Quickly use Aerial Ace!" Pidgey went right through the attack, still getting damaged, while it's beck then scratched Squirtle's face. "Use Skull Bash!" Squirtle then launched itself into Pidgey and sending it back. Then after that Pidgey started glowing and then got bigger and bigger. "P-pidgey?" Pink said as she gets more and more excited as she watched her pokèmon evolve! Gray's Pidgey watched in awe as it one day hoped to become well again and be a powerful Pidgeot. It could see it now... Protecting other Pidgey and Pidgeotto. Scaring away the Fearow and Spearow and actually making friends! That would be the life... Then it's fantasy was cut short when it heard. "Okay Pidgeotto use quick attack!" In the blink of an eye Pidgeotto quickly hit Squirtle as it then looked defeated, but, boy were they wrong! Squirtle too was evolving!! "What? Two evolutions in one battle?" Orange asked in amazement. "Yeah! I never seen this happen before." Gray said as he also watched Squirtle turn into a strong Wartortle. "Yeah! now use bite!" Before Pidgeotto could move it was biten and then brought to the floor. It was screaming due to the unbearable pain it was then cut short as then it was returned. "Thanks Pidgeotto i don't blame you, thanks for evolving too!" She said as she then told Saura. "Okay now it's your turn!" Saura then ran to the battlefield as she took a deep breath and said. "Saur!" Signaling that she was ready. "Okay razor leaf!" Razor sharp leaves bursted out of her bulb and quickly hit Wartortle, having the damage already done by Pidgeotto, it was a
One hit-K.O. "Return, let's go Nidoran." He said as Wartortle went back to rest inside of his cozy house. The Nidoran took charge, looking very confident. "Use poison sting!" Brown said as Pink said. "Okay use leech seed!" Both attacks landed at the same time. It seems like they both landed in the same time. "Saura use dig!" Saura quickly dug a hole on the ground and sprang up to attack Nidoran. "Use Double Kick!" Nidoran kicked Saura's face. "No!" Pink said. Saura then was really mad. She hates it when someone touches her face. She makes exceptions for Pink and Max but this Nidoran?! No way. She then started to evolve out of rage. "BULBAAAASAUR!!" Saura said as she then glowed brightly. "Another?!" Orange said as Max then got happy that Saura was finally an Ivysaur! "Ivy!" It said as Pink then said. "Alright! Finish this with Dig!" She then dug into the ground once then Nidoran was down it's last health point. "Nidoran quickly move out of the way!" Brown said. Before Nidoran had a change to move he was hit and then was K.Oed. "Return." Brown said as then Pink goes and hugs Saura. "We did it!" Pink said she looks at her newly evolved pokèmon. "Ivy saur!" She said as then Max comes in the picture. "Ivy, saur!" They then started conversing. "Thanks for the battle, Pink." Brown said as he offered her a handshake. She shook his hand and said. "No problem, and thank you!" Brown then nodded and went back to his rock. "Great battle, Pink!" Gray says as she smiles and says. "Thanks Gray!" Then that's when Pink, Orange, and Gray started talking about the pokèmon tournament and Red. Brown looked at his Newly evolved Wartortle's pokèball. "Thanks for trying..." He said as he then started cleaning it.

It was around 9:55 P.M. By now. The four were tired so they set up the sleeping bags. "G-gray. Is it okay if i hug you while we sleep? I kind of cold..." Pink says as Gray finished setting up the sleeping bag. "Sure. I don't mind." Then Orange laughed softly and thought. "Great excuse, Pink, great excuse..." Then he laid down in his sleeping bag and quickly feel asleep. Brown also went to sleep rather quickly. Pink was restless, so was Gray. They were both equally awake. Gray looked out the cave and saw that it was still storming. He sighed then Pink asked. "What's wrong Gray?" He looked into Pink's amber eyes. "Nothing it's just that we should be in Celadon by now..." She also looked into Gray's eyes and then said. "Don't worry... We'll be there soon." After a while of gazing they then leaned in closer and closer. When they were an inch away they were interrupted by Max. "Ivy!" He came in between the two and they both sweat dropped and then Gray said. "Hey Max!" Max then left and went to where Saura was and then they face palmed. "Damn it!! I almost had my first actual kiss..." Pink thought as she lied back down, slightly disappointed. Gray somehow felt the same weird feeling then Pink hugged him. He allowed her and they both feel asleep as the storm raged on...
