Chapter 22- Bad days

Rocky's Point of view

I just stood there, watching Jade walk away. Everything she said was right. I came all the way here to get her back, but I end up kissing another girl? What has gotten into me? I don't blame her. I have broken her heart many times; and I feel horrible for doing that to her. She deserves someone much better than me; but she hasn't heard my side of the story.

I went back to the park to see Mary, Ross, and Lucy staring at me with shocked faces.

"what just happened?," Ross asked.

"I-," I started, but was cut off by Lucy.

"that was your girlfriend, wasn't it?"

"well, was my girlfriend. How did you know?," I replied.

"I didn't, I just guessed. I had no idea that you had a girlfriend. I'm so sorry," Lucy said.

"it's okay, I liked it," I said as I smiled. Lucy smiled, too.

"what the heck?! You're with jade! At least you were. You're not the same person that you used to be. What happened to you?," Ross said. I had to agree with him. What happened to me? I love Jade. Not Lucy. Not that Lucy isn't awesome; she's great! But I belong with Jade. And if I want to get her back, I have to do something big. I suddenly had an idea.

"Ross, can I talk to you for a second?," I asked. He hesitated and sighed before nodding his head.

"what do you want?," he asked.

"look; I know I've changed, but I have a plan to get Jade back," I said.

"and why are you telling me this?"

"because I need you to get the rest of the band her, too. We're going to have a concert"

"and how is a concert supposed to get Jade back?," he asked.

"if I apologize to her on stage in front of a crowd, she'll see how much I care about her. I just hope it works"

I returned back to where Mary and Lucy were standing. I explained my plan to them. They both smiled and nodded in agreement. Then Lucy said, "I wish I had a boyfriend like you. I mean, you're so kind and sweet. No wonder Jade loves you so much" I let a small laugh escape my lips. Then I thought about it. Who do I like? Jade or Lucy? This is going to be a hard decision to make. No. I like jade. We've been through a lot. We have a lot of history with each other. But me and Lucy, we don't have any history together. Yes, I did feel sparks when we kissed; but when I kissed jade, I felt fireworks. I loved that feeling. Lucy can be a close friend. I'm sure Jade wouldn't have a problem with that...right?

Jade's Point of view

I just walked down the streets of Littleton as tears rolled down my face. Why would I ever think that someone like Rocky would like me? I mean, he's so cool, kind, and he's famous. I'm nothing. I guess that there's no such thing as true love.

I thought about all this as I looked for my phone. Great, I lost my phone. I lost my boyfriend. And now I have no where to go. How could this day get any worse? Then it started to rain. Well, that answers that question. What's next?

I walked until I couldn't take another step. I found a bench on the side of the street. I sat on it and started to cry even harder. I cried for what seemed like hours but was only a few minutes. Then I felt someone sit next to me. I didn't bother to look up. I didn't care. I didn't care about anything right now.

"hey, having a bad?," the person asked. I still didn't look up, but just nodded my head. For some reason, the persons voice sounded very familiar. I just decided to shake it off.

"you look really wet. Don't you want to go home or something?," the person asked again. I never brought my head up. I just replied with, "I don't have any where to go"

"you can stay at my place for a while. Well it's not really my place. It's a friend; but I'm sure they wouldn't mind," the person offered.

"thanks. But I'll figure out something myself," I replied. Then it hit me. No wonder the person sounded so familiar. It was Ratliff. I looked up and he had the same shocked face as me.

"Jade?," he asked. I didn't reply. I just nodded my head again.

"aren't you supposed to be at your friend, Mary's place? Along with Ross and Rocky?," he asked.

"me and Rocky broke up. I'm not going to go back there again," I replied, as many tears rolled down my face. Ratliff pulled me in for a hug.

"don't cry. I'm sure it was a misunderstanding. Do you want to tell me what happened?," Ratliff asked. I explained everything to him and he was speechless.

"wow. Just wow. Are you sure that Lucy didn't kiss him?," he asked.

"I don't know. But even if Lucy did kiss him, he still lied to me"

"I'm sure that Rocky feels horrible. He really loves you"

"yeah, right. I never asked you, why are you in Colorado?," I said.

"Rocky arranged a concert out of no where. I was just heading to Mary's place to meet him. Riker and Rydel are already there. Don't you have any place to go?"

"no. Well, I have another friend who lives here. I'm sure she'll let me crash at her place for a while"

"look, go talk to Rocky. Tell him how you feel. Tell him what it feels like when he breaks your heart," Ratliff suggested.

"no, he's broken my heart many times. It's too late," I said as I got up to leave to my friends house.

"ok. But if you need me, just give me a call," he said.
