11- In Which the Sky is Green
Pan groaned as she came to. Her head was whirling in dizziness and she let out a sigh, trying her best to calm it. Though she was dizzy, she didn't feel as bad as she had the first two times her and Trunks had time-skipped.
Peaking an eye open, the first thing Pan saw was conjoined hands. She was still holding Trunks' hand... She looked over the hands and saw that Trunks was already awake and staring at the sky. Her mind flashed back to their conversation right before the jump and her cheeks started growing warm. Trunks had someone he liked, someone he had liked for a very long time according to him. Quickly, Pan let go of his hand and he glanced over at her, realizing she was now awake.
"How long have you been up?" Pan asked curiously.
"Just a few minutes," Trunks answered quietly. "You usually wake up not too long after me so I just waited." He sat up then, his eyes going back to the sky.
Pan followed his movements and went to sit up as well. "Where is-" she gasped as she looked around.
The sky was green and the grass was blue. Tall trees surrounded them, the leaves on them surrounding the very top of the tree and making them look like pom-poms.
"If my guess is correct, we're on Namek," Trunks said.
Suddenly, there was a loud explosion that shook the ground. Pan could feel her father, Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta's ki, as well as several unknown ki's. Her heart pounded and she jumped up just as Trunks did.
"Yep, we're on Namek," he said. "Run, and make sure you keep your ki lowered, we don't want anyone finding us."
Pan swallowed thickly as she took off running with Trunks. "When you say anyone, you're meaning-"
"Frieza," Trunks nodded as he glanced at her. "Remember, he's here too with his soldiers."
They had run into Frieza twice now and Pan couldn't help the uneasiness she felt at the thought of him. He had destroyed Vegeta-Sei... He had killed so many innocent Saiyan's. Her mind flashed back to Kiba...
"My mom told me once that there are caves all over the place here, we just need to find one so we're not out in the open," Trunks told her.
Pan truthfully didn't know much about Namek, or what all had happened when her father and Gohan were on it. She had asked several times, but Gohan had once told her that it was such a long story... When she and Marron had asked Krillin about it, he let out a long sigh and said that they had only been on the planet for a week, but had felt like years. Gohan too had made the comments that it had seemed to last forever, and Pan just assumed that it was because time moved different for Namek- they had three suns after all.
They were running over a large hill when Trunks came to a sudden stop. Pan let out a yelp as she smacked into her back and with a whine, she leaned back to rub her nose.
"Trunks?" She glanced around him and her eyes widened at the sight.
At the bottom of the hill was a ship, and running out of the door were soldiers- Frieza's soldiers. There were at least twenty of them and they were all glaring at Trunks and Pan.
"Shit..." Trunks cursed under his breath.
"What do we have here?" A short green alien spat.
"They're not Namekians," a tall orange alien observed. "They kind of look like... Saiyans."
"Impossible," the short green alien hissed. "The only Saiyans here is Vegeta and those two from earth."
"My scanner is picking up lower power levels," a purple alien piped up. "What should we do?"
