Osas scoffed, watching Angela scurry to her desk. This was Monday morning. The Monday, when all this nonsense came to an end. Or so he hoped.

It was hard enough getting through the weekend. The sleepless nights, their last experience had become his most thought lately. He didn't want to keep feeling this way. He had so much on his plate, heartbreaks were allowed to hurt, however, not forever.

Well, it would be a deal-breaker, if she had other plans like never leaving. He knew her so well, how hellbent she could be.

Why the hell was she so obstinate?

He saw her rise from her seat hastily headed for the bathroom. He sprung up.

Angela rinsed her face over the basin, staring at her skinny glum face in the mirror. Her eyes were sunken in, and she had no makeup on, no even a wig or weave extension.

She drew a sharp breath, turning off the tap, making for the exit. As soon as she opened the door, she bumped into Osas.

"Sorry!" She heaved deeply, glancing up at his face. His brooding eyes were fixed on hers.

As she took a step backward, he took a step forward. Her heart began to race in panic. She took another step backward and was in the bathroom. Osas came in after her shutting the door.

"Erm ... I." Angela stuttered. Her palpitations were louder and faster.

Suddenly it all seized as she kept her eyes hooked on his. Those eyes reminded her how much she had wronged this man. How much she'd plead for forgiveness. And how she knew there was no redemption.

As screwed up as she might seem, she knew inwardly she was tired. Tired of try to mend anything.

She was never asking his forgiveness again. She'd suffered enough. This was her last time here, she was done. She was yet to decide the way forward, even with Texas. Whether to proceed with the breakup or not. However...

Osas reached forward, gently stroking her face, this sent chills down her spine, and a clinger in the belly.

"My baby." He muttered under his breath, his eyes roamed her face. She shut her eyes, absolving this feeling. Gradually, feeling his withdrawal. She opened her eyes as he took his hands off her. His forehead creased, his worries were perceptible.

He saw all of her from the look on her face. she'd been suffering too. Maybe she was honest about her feelings for him. About being in love with him.

Her hollow eyes and dehydrated lean face weren't the only evidence that disclosed how badly the breakup affected her. She also looked emaciated.

It hurt seeing her in this current state and not being able to comfort her.

Who said he couldn't?

He kept his eyes on her lips as he pined. In response, she glared naively at him, so much need and hunger in her eyes like a child yearning for affection. He missed staring into her lovely brown eyes, they had more spark in them when she was happy. And all through their relationship, she was happy.

Well her allure was another. It was pleasant that she made so much difference in his home within a matter of months. Leaving a hole in everyone's heart. Little Ejiro - Boma's grandson - for instance, didn't stop asking of her and checking if she'd returned.

He stared into her mysterious eyes which shared similarities with a galaxy of a billion stars.

She was his drug!

Many times, he'd thought of the term Love was a drug and heartbreak the body in withdrawal. It only began to make sense to him now.

Meanwhile, Angela was frozen upstairs, she couldn't think of anything, let alone translate his actions.
