In just a week or so, I had the entire grounds in the gated area done. The rain was coming and everything should start growing soon.
I didn't have much faith in myself, though. It would be surprising if I could even keep one tomato sprout alive.
I found it upsetting when it began raining, because I couldn't go outside and keep working on the garden. I also found myself crying louder when it rained.
The echoes of my sobs were drowned out and less painful. The stale food stopped satisfying my hunger, but what else could I do?
I'm too disgusting to go to the village.
