I found a mask in one of the closets. Maybe I could hide my face and get food from the village while it was still raining.
The rain let up just barely, so I swallowed my fear and started my walk. I ignored the wet drops hitting me as I walked down the dirt paths.
I don't know exactly how far the village is from the castle. The sun wasn't able to give me any indication either.
I kept walking and walking, despite the pain in my feet and legs. The buildings came into view after a while, and I bit back my fear.
Luckily, the first shop I saw was open. I cringed as the clerk gave me and odd look as he gave me my groceries.
