KIMBERLY
As soon as we reach the hotel, we both crash into Tyler at the lobby. He is standing there with our luggage looking annoyed.
"And they decided to show up," Tyler speaks with his arms crossed along his chest.
"Sorry," I say but it ended up sounding more like a question.
"My fault," Max speaks carelessly.
"Don't worry, I had no doubts," Tyler replies a bit bitter making Max frown.
"Do you have a problem?" Max, now annoyed, responds.
"Of course I do, a formula one driver taking advantage of my best friend," Tyler says and in what it seemed like one second, Max's hands are around Tyler's shirt as he pushes him to the nearest wall.
"What did you just say?" Max speaks furiously.
"Boys!" I yell. "Calm down," I try to push Max away as I see Tyler's terrified face. "Let him go," I grab, Max's arm.
"Not until he apologizes," Max states clenching his teeth.
"Max!" I insist as I try to push him. I have never seen someone this angry before, it's scaring.
"Verstappen," Daniel's voice sounds through the lobby as he grabs Max from his shirt and makes him let go of Tyler.
Daniel sends me a crabbed look as he takes Max to a side and starts talking to him.
"What's wrong with him?" Tyler almost screams at me and I just stand in shock, not quite sure of what just happened.
"I don't know, he wasn't like this," I tell him.
"He is crazy,"
"No, he is not," I don't know why I find myself defending him.
Tyler looks at me unapologetically. "Are you defending a complete stranger instead of your best friend?"
I roll my eyes. "You were the one bitching, don't bark if you can't bite," I spat annoyed.
Tyler stares at me surprised. "I can't believe this, he almost kills me and you are defending him,"
"You can't be this extra, Tyler, he grabbed you by the collar of your shirt he didn't even choke you," I state glaring at him.
"You are unbelievable," He speaks.
"Am I?" I interrupt him before he says something else. "You completely ignored me the past three days and let me remind you that yesterday was my birthday!"
"I know why are you defending him," He goes back to the old discussion completely ignoring what I said before. "Is because you slept with him, right?" He raises a brow and I gasp.
"What if I did?" I challenge him. "It's literally none of your fucking business," I add and he starts laughing ironically.
"Ow, look at her, believing that the boy loves her when he only wanted to sleep with her." He sarcastically speaks. "Boo, boo, the fool," He chuckles and I can see myself fuming.
"You know what," I scream getting the attention of everyone in the lobby, including Max and Daniel. "I'm so fucking tired of all your bullshit, you are always thinking about yourself and I'm tired of giving and never receiving, you are never grateful just complaining, remember that you are here because of me and you are everywhere in your life because of my support so shut the fuck up for once and be supportive and a good friend, for fuck sake," I finish and grab my small suitcase and leave the hotel.
"Kim," I hear Max's voice following me.
"Leave me alone," I mutter.
"I'm sorry," He apologizes and I laugh ironically.
"For what?" I turn around to face him.
"For almost killing your friend," He jokes and I chuckle.
"I would have thanked you for that," I smile.
"No, but, I'm sorry if I scared you," He looks down.
"You didn't," I assure. "But why did you react like that?" I hesitate to wonder.
"Some things from my past," He responds shortly and I try my best not to insist. He notices as he smiles shortly.
"I know, you can't tell me," I say.
"But I will,"
I raise a brow. "That means that will we see each other's again?" I wonder with hope in my tone.
"Yes," He responds quickly. "I mean, if you want to," He then adds.
"I would love to," I smile widely.
"Then, see you later, loser,"
