Leaf's POV
I sat at our lunch table, explaining my situation to Chip. He was one of the only kids I really talked to, but he really only talked about my sister. It was kinda weird.

"So yah, I think this girl makes me sick or something." I said, biting my nails, and fiddling with my hair.
Chip smirked and started snickering.
"What's so funny?"
He laughed harder.

"Leaf you doofus, she doesn't make you ill. You like her." He said.
Well duh, of course I like her.
She's nice and funny and she listens to me.
Also she's really pretty.
"Of course I like her!" I said.
Chip raised an eyebrow.
"No, like... you 'like-like' her."

I stared at him for a second, and then my brain clicked.
Like-like.
I gasped and stood up.
"OH MY GOSH I LIKE-LIKE HER!" I yelled.
Chip shushed me and pulled me back down.
"How 'bout you announce it to the whole cafeteria?!" He grumbled.

"Why would I do that?" I put my helmet on my head.
"No I-... nevermind." Her grumbled.
That usually meant I didn't understand what someone said, I've figured that out.

I kept thinking.
Oh my gosh I really do like her.
I buckled my helmet and stood up, holding it on my head tighter.
"What are you doing?" Chip asked.
I jumped out of my seat and put on my finger puppet.

I started running down the hallway, out the door, yelling with excitement.
"DA DA DAAAA! DA DA DAAAA!"
I yelled, jumping up and down.

I collided head first into someone.
I looked down to see a girl with pink overalls and brown hair.
I grabbed her books and handed them to her.
"Sorry." She mumbled.
"I'm sorry." I said.
She smiled and kept walking.

I kept running, jumping, and yelling.
My puppet flapped it's wings.
It was flying at warp-speed.
We were going to t-
I collided with someone else.
Maybe I should stop now.

I looked up and it was...
Y/N.
My heart did a back-flip as she looked down and smiled at me. She stuck out her hand.
"Hey Leaf. Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." She said.
My eyes widened and I watched her.
She looked like Jesus or something, the light right behind her head making her look like she was an angel.

"Leaf? You okay?" She said.
"Oh! Y-yah, Thanks." I took her hand and she pulled me up.
She handed me my finger puppet, which I hadn't realized fell off.
"Thank you."

I stood there, trying to speak, but my mouth didn't want to form words.
I felt like somebody shot me with a freeze ray.
I was stuck staring at her face. Her pretty face.
I like-like her.
The thought made me giggle.
She giggled too.

"What are you laughing about?" She asked again.
I opened my mouth but no words came out again. Hmm... are we sure I wasn't just sick?
I stared at her (e/c) eyes and her pretty hair.
Nope I like her.
I was sure of it.

"Okay... well, I have to go to class. See ya later Leaf." She waved. I turned and waved as she walked off.
I watched her walk away, and sighed.
"Why didn't I tell her?" I said, mostly to myself.
I groaned and walked to my own class.
I think it was English?
I don't really know.
I was too distracted to tell.
