Junmyeon watches as Jinyun falls to the ground, the knife in her hand dropping as she chokes out blood. He looks up and sees a male with a mask over his mouth, a knife in his hand that was now stained with Jinyun's blood. Before he could register what was going on, the masked man grabs him and runs out of the club, pushing past the panicked bodies in a rush to leave the crime scene. There it was again- that feeling of deja vu. Chanyeol did the same exact thing in the same exact place, so was it possible- "Chanyeol, where are you taking me?"

There's no answer, but they stop running once they reach a park. He looks at Junmyeon before pulling down his mask- and the other is shocked. "Hey hyung, fancy seeing-" "Sehun? What were you doing there?" Sehun clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes. "A thank you would be nice right about now and Jungsik asked me to come as backup because Namjoon." Junmyeon nods in acknowledgement because it makes sense: It was Namjoon.

"Thanks by the way- but how did you get in?" he asks and Sehun shrugs in response, but then smirks at him. "How I got in isn't important, but what I want to know is- who's Chanyeol?" he asks and Junmyeon looks at him in surprise. How does he- "Chanyeol, where are you taking me?"  Well shit.

"He's... unimportant." Sehun chuckles in amusement, "right. He's so unimportant that you said his name- I call bullshit. You might be able to get away with lying with your targets-" Junmyeon sees Sehun's face brighten up before pointing at him, "target- Chanyeol is your target isn't he? Namjoon hyung was telling me about you and your 'good looking' target. Wait till I tell him about this-" "there's nothing between me and Chanyeol! A similar thing happened with me before, and he was there that time- s-so I thought..."

Sehun's grin kept widening as Junmyeon stumbled on his words. He needed to get rid of Sehun before he kept making himself less believable. "Hey Sehun- aren't the cops after you right now?" "...Fuck."

"Sehun told me what happened yesterday." Junmyeon groans and hits his head on the desk. "Namjoon for the 12th time- I'm not interested in him-" "Your words from yesterday seem to disagree- according to Sehun that is." Namjoon sips his coffee and glances over at Junmyeon, grinning at the glare the other was sending his way.

"Fine I'll drop the topic for now," he sets his cup down as he grabs a few papers and flips through them. "So yesterday when Sehun took you out of there, some police officers came to inspect the crime scene and I was questioned since I was one of the 'witnesses'. While I was being questioned, I noticed someone enter and you won't believe who it was-" "Junmyeon what are you doing here? You should be at Park Enterprises trying to gain Chanyeol's trust!"

Junmyeon checks his phone, seeing that he has only a short amount of time to get to the other side of the city. He rushes to grab his things, running out of the room while yelling 'it's Namjoon's fault' in the process. His phone buzzes as he manages to get to his car without tripping over anything, seeing a text from none other than Chanyeol:

Chanyeol

Running late?

...

Junmyeon takes a moment to realize that he's smiling at the two words on the screen. The thought of someone checking in with him felt... nice. He lets out a sigh, knowing that it's not possible for the two of them. Chanyeol's life was in his hands after all.

"For a second, I thought you wouldn't show up today," Chanyeol says as he enters the room, Junmyeon looking up from the stacks of paper layered on his desk. He smiles at the taller before shaking his head, "even though staying home and doing nothing sounds good- I'm not a slacker." Chanyeol hums in reply, briefly patting Junmyeon on the shoulder before returning to his office. Junmyeon hates this.

He hates the fact that Chanyeol seems to be anything but what he was actually labelled as: A gang leader. However, Junmyeon was knowledgeable enough to know that even the nicest people have the darkest secrets.

"Suho-ssi," Jongin stands in front of his desk and hands him an envelope, "someone requested for me to bring this to you." Junmyeon thanks Jongin and takes the envelope from him, examining it carefully. His name is scribbled in black pen, with no stamps or a return address. Strange. I'll check it out later he thinks to himself as he slides it into his bag. It probably wasn't too important.

Jongin and Kyungsoo invite him to join them for lunch, and he agrees wholeheartedly. They sit at a table in a chinese restaurant- since it was the closest place. A few minutes into eating, Jongin brings up a topic that causes Junmyeon to choke on his water: "Did you guys hear about the murder at a club yesterday?" Kyungsoo hands him a napkin as Jongin pats him on the back, trying to stop his coughing.

"Are you okay Suho-ssi?" Jongin asks worriedly, and Junmyeon nods while coughing into the napkin. "I'm okay Jongin thank you," he says with a nod, "what were saying about... the club murder?" "Right," the other begins while clearing his throat, "so apparently yesterday at this club, this woman was murdered and the police were trying to look for the guy who killed her. Then, they found out that she was actually a criminal that was wanted for a long time: The Red Lipped Bitch."

There was no coincidence- it was the same place Junmyeon had been to. Though, he did feel relieved that Jinyun wouldn't try to kill him again. At least Sehun won't be wanted... I hope.
