'Happy..? can a girl actually be satisfied with just being near the person she's currently crushing on? What the hell?! Does she mean I don't have to do anything for her to be impressed..?'

Bakugo finally took one of the white towels [____] had dropped earlier and used it to blot and squeeze parts of his wet hair, which instantly gained volume as it kept drying.

"Did I just say something too risky?!" The girl took note that the awkward silence meant he was thinking about it; and Bakugo thinking about anything could end very badly if he didn't understand it well. So she continued to speak just to try to clarify what was already obvious.

"W-What I meant to say was that—!! You and me, we're friends now. Even though we weren't really close in grade school, I still hung out with you just as much as I did with Izuku, which isn't even a lot because I left to travel weeks after our first fight, but—!! F-Friends, we do things like this right?!

Hang out after school, practice together, study together— Friends are honest with each other; Suki, I feel like I've been very honest with you...That's why...I'm so sorry if this seems to be going nowhere!! I swear I know what I'm talking about, it's just that—"

A loud boom reverberated the sky; she was on her feet and holding on to Katsuki's arm before she knew it. "That one was actually pretty loud...Sorry."

"You don't like thunder, fat cheeks?" He didn't seem to mind her clinginess as long as she had a valid reason to react that way.

"T-They're not my favorite thing about the rainy season, I guess...."

"Don't worry. You're safe here, with me."

To his reassurance, [____] had a hard time replying. "I— I'm not scared, I swear!! I'm strong, Suki! I was just testing you, ahahah! Okay, well, not really...I'm gonna tell you the truth.

I'm terrified of loud noises, ever since I was a kid I used to cuddle with my dad whenever storms appeared around our area...I'd even ask him to keep looking at weather reports, just because it would usually tell you when the thunder will stop...

As I grew older, I guess I sort of forgot all about it? One day I just stopped caring and when we moved to Los Angeles, I noticed there wasn't much change in their weather...It was always sunny, so...

Ahah— Sorry. It annoys you when I talk this much, doesn't it...? You don't really find anything I say interesting, right...?"

There it was. A quality [____] had that Katsuki really disliked, but would never tell her in person. She was rich and perhaps grew up being spoiled-rotten by her parents, but it never changed the fact that she was like a cat on hot bricks:

Always overthinking, always a little nervous around others. It was apparent that [____] had a mild case of anxiety, and Bakugo felt as if he may have had something to do with it.

Before their fight at the park when they were seven years old; [____] had a voice. She was a little louder back then, she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. As a kid, Katsuki hated that.

Though, the more he grew up and thought about it, he realized how sexy confidence could look like on a girl— Specifically one he was already attracted to.

[____] was cute whenever she was sad or scared, Katsuki acknowledged it. He was yet to find ways to make her open up to him a little more, at least so he could help her figure something out.

Being too self conscious could be troubling, and if anything Todoroki said to him earlier was true, her unstable mindset could affect her quirk during combat.
