". . . Wait!" I called out. He looked at me with an eyebrow raised. ". . . How will I know if I win?" I asked him. He chuckled and said, "As if.~", which made me loose every hope that I had. Tears began to sting my eyes once again. "I'm gonna die... I'll never see my friends again..." I sobbed silently.

". . . By midnight."

I looked at him to see if what I heard was right.

". . . The game ends, by midnight."

"By midnight..." 

"Come on, (Y/N)..."

". . . By midnight, you can do this!"I keep on encouraging to not let myself loose any hope. Every once in a while, the demon would look at me and smirk, which still sent shivers down my body. I decided to take my heels off so that I could run faster. The leaves on the ground rustled as my feet came into contact.

I removed the nun hood, in a very careful manner, and tied my hair up in a pony-tail. I tried to bandage all the open wounds I have with pieces of clothing from my costume, but it wasn't enough. At least I tried, right?

I winced as the stinging pain on my shoulders and back worsened by the minute.

". . . Come on, (Y/N)! You're going to die... But not today. Not like this!!!" I keep on reminding myself. "Your friends are still here... Don't give up on them-..." "If they're still here, how come they haven't found you, yet?~" He interrupted my thoughts.

". . . Sh-Shuh... Ah." I croaked. I completely forgot that my voice was gone. And my throat and lungs were sore. "Sorry, but... What was that...?~"He asked once again. "I said, shut up!!!" I growled at him. "Being feisty, are we...?~" He spoke up and he began to walk towards me once again. I stood on my ground and glared at him.

Soon enough, we were face to face once again. I looked at him straight in his bloody eyes and tried not to falter. He was towering above me with a sly smirk. ". . . I could see why Sonic has chosen you to be his... How do we say this...?" The demon trailed off as if he was thinking of a word that best fits his statement.

"Oh, that's right. 'Girlfriend'.~" The smirk on his face widened. I did nothing but to glare at him. ". . . So?" I replied. He stared at me for a while, and suddenly, he roared in laughter. I growled at him. ". . . What's so fucking funny?" I snapped at him. He crossed his arms and shook his head side-ways.

Then he looked at me with that same seductive smirk and cold-looking eyes. ". . . Nothing's funny.~" He responded. I crossed my arms at him and raised an eyebrow. "It's just that..." He trailed off as he turned around and walked off. ". . . What?" I snapped at him. 

". . . No matter how hard you try to convince yourself that you're gonna survive and live with your so-called 'boyfriend', the chances that you're gonna win are slim.~" He finished, to which I just froze at.
