When you look into the mirror, who is looking back?
Is it really you, an illusion or a multitude of lies?
Behind your reflection, can you feel them thwack
The back of your head, feasting on your cries. The old demons always come to you at midnight.
Memories kept buried rise mocking, defying you,
So feeble is the block you put on them, what a blight,
Did you really think the past would easily forget you? When you look into the mirror, I know what looks back
At you, the loathing, the utter terror of an innocent child.
As you can't escape them, you put on a laughing mask,
Tomorrow is another day, a reprieve in your mind reviled.
