My ink, my tears, same crimson....

When the infant girl asks for what crime
She is buried alive, when the young mother
to be is snatched in the night to abort
the baby female she is carrying,
When a girl is forced to marry at a young age,
When no one is interested in their story,
My ink turns to blood, crimson, grime!

When religions or cultures override and take over
common sense, what can be done to thwart
the ignorance of mankind, for centuries continuing?
When the wife dies from the blows of a manic rage
Because she wouldn't hurry,
My ink turns to poison, oozing acid, grime!

When the young girl is burned alive in honor killing,
For ''disgracing the family'', her murderers blame
the evils of the world but they worse than rabid hounds.
When the rich replace baby girls by stolen baby boys
When the young child dare not exposing her rapist,
My pen bleeds, forced to write words so grime!

Stop! no more violence, give us time for healing.
Let our girls grow secure, remove their veil of shame.
O mankind, when you are six feet under ground
The infant girl will question for what sin you cut her voice.
You showed no mercy, none will be for you, I won't weep,
My ink, my tears,  same crimson, as I think of your crime.
