She had the inability to distinguish reality from dreams.
Hours at a time she would be in her own world.
Her tears rain a poison waterfall,
as she dances with herself.
Her lips chapped from all the apologies she had made to herself.
She'd listen to the poetry in the songs,
and she would ignore all her heartbreaks,
and all the empty promises that no one ever kept.
She would drown in her thoughts,
and the stars would be the ones to pull her out from drowning again.
