The Unexpected Project

Seulgi's POV

Joy and I were waiting in the meeting room when the President of the JDG broadcasting company and his men came in. You can tell that this project is really big time if you're being summoned by him to discuss about it. Joy and I immediately stand up and greeted him.

"Good morning Mr. President. It's so nice to see you." I said.

"Good morning too Seulgi. How are you and Joy?" This is why I love the President. He's calling us in our first name that made us feel comfortable talking to him.

"We're great. I'm actually excited about this project."

"That's good. Have a seat while we wait for another person. Aisst that brat is late again."

I wondered who is that actor/actress that has the nerve to be late in this kind of meeting specially knowing that Mr. President is here. Must be a really big star to have this kind of attitude.

"Mr. President may I know--------" I was cut off when the door opened. Then I saw this beautiful girl, well I think she's the prettiest and fairest of them all walked inside. I felt like that the time is in slow motion when our eyes met. I have never been this close to my idol and crush I must say. I've been dying to be close to her I swear like aside from my family, she's the reason why I pursue my career in this industry. I was hoping that one day I'll have the chance to work with her.

"You're late Irene." Mr. President said.

She just ignored him and sat down. Wow, she really have that attitude. Did I choose the right person to idolize?  Wait, if Ms. Irene Bae is here then that means. O_O Oh my gosh.

"Don't tell me I will be working with Ms. Bae in this project?" I whispered to Joy.

"I think so." she replied

"Alright, for sure you know each other already so I will cut the chase I choose both of you to do this project." O_O Holy shit. Am I dreaming? Oh my heart is beating so fast right now.

"No!!!!! I decline the offer. I don't want to work with her." Ms. Bae said. Wow she's so mean declining the offer in my face cause she doen't want to work with me. T T What's wrong with me?

"Well Ms. Bae, you don't have any choice right now. Not unless you finished this project with Seulgi, we won't be giving any projects to you." Mr. President said. Am I hearing that correctly? Wow that's rough.

"But uncle that's unfair." she complained.

"Mr. President, Irene. May I remind you that we are not at home!" O_O Wait I'm shookt. Is Mr. President and Ms. Bae related? My mind is just blown away right now. How can I missed that information? I failed her as her number #1 fan. And how on the earth I didn't noticed it during the gatherings and stuff, I'm so stupid for real. No wonder she has this attitude towards him.

"I'm sorry. But you can't do that to me Mr. President." She sarcastically said. Then she stands up and about to leave when......

"You walked out that door and your career is over." He firmly said like full of authority. Geez he's scary when he's mad. Ms. Bae stopped, walked back and sat down again. Oh my goodness, what kind of drama am I watching right now?

I saw how furious Ms. Bae's face was. I felt like I wanna walked out already because of the intense aura in this room. Why do I felt like I'm suffocating already?

"Hmmm is the AC turned on?", I asked breaking the intense atmosphere. Mr. President chuckled while Joy softly kicked me. I turned to Joy. "What?"

"Ms. Kang it's in full blast mode. Are you being suffocated right now?" Mr. President said. I lowered down my head out of embarassment.

"I'm sorry about that. Anyways this is the script for the story. (They handed the script to me, Joy and Irene) The title of the movie is "The President's Daughter". Mr. Lee can you please explain to them everything?"

"Due to the high demand from the LGBTQ, we have considered to produce a movie for them. It's also part of the company's support and campaign for gender equality. Being the 1st and 2nd to the latest ranking survey they gathered, the management decided that the two of you will be perfect on screen partner for this movie."

Just when I thought my mind has already blown away. So we will be making a lesbian movie? And Ms. Bae and I will be the on-screen partners? We will be like the leading ladies for each other? O_O woaahhh how lucky can I be? Though I don't think she feels the same way.

"This is ridiculous." she whispered.

" So the story goes like these. The President's daughter whose known to be a cold, evil and spoiled brat (why do I felt like that's Ms. Bae's real life character, lol I'm guessing she'll get that role.) fell in love with her personal bodyguard." Woaah the story sounds so cool. I hope I get the body guard's role.

"In this movie, Irene will be the President's daughter while Seulgi will be the bodyguard. (I knew it!haha) Just read the whole script as soon as we finished the meeting and shoot me your questions when we meet again." he added.

"Is there any questions right now?" Mr. President said.

"Ahmm when will be the start of the shooting?" I asked.

"Once we organized everything, we will start shooting next week. Just get ready cause as soon as we signed the contract today, we will be releasing the upcoming movie project to the media."

"That fast?" Ms. Bae said.

"The sooner the better." Mr. President said.

"Are there any more questions?"

I shaked my head. "No more, Mr. President."

"What about you Irene?"

She didn't respond to him but I think that means she don't have any. I'm curious why Ms. Bae is like that to the President. I'll do my research later. Then Mr. President smiled.

"Alright if that's the case then let's sign your contracts already." As soon as they gave the contract to me, I immediately signed the papers and I saw Ms. Bae did the same thing. She's so pissed off I can tell.

I bravely walked towards Ms. Bae.

"Hi Ms. Bae. It's my honor to be working with the best actress in town. Let's do our best." I offered my hand for a shake but she just stand up and walked out.

What the hell? It's going to be a tough project. How can we work together if she hates me to her bones. And what's wrong with me by the way, I didn't do anything bad to her. Geez.

"I'm sorry about that Seulgi. Just give her time. She's just threatened with you. I've heard you aced the recent survey. She's used being the number 1 so you coming in the picture, she's not really happy about it." Mr. President said.

Mr. President is really nice, I don't understand why Ms. Bae is so mean to him at some point.

"I understand Mr. President. Thank you for trusting me with this project. I'll do my best."

"I know you'll do. Have a good day Seulgi. Make sure don't do anything stupid. For sure the media will be on the watch 24/7 to you and Irene."

"Got it. Mr. President." I smiled. This project will be one hell of a ride. Ugghhhhhh but I'm so excited. I'll make sure that Ms. Bae will recognize me and will like me before the movie goes on theaters.
