🕶Sunglasses🕶

For the past month since Shorter got Jian some sunglasses of his own he's been refusing to take them off. Why? Because...

"I wanna look like dad." Jian turned away from you.

"You can't wear glasses to bed," you huffed not liking this at all.

"But dad does." He retorted.

"Dad doesn't wear them to sleep bud, now can you take them off," You tried once more after this you were planning on just letting him.

"If you sleep in them they might break then you won't be able to wear them like dad anymore." You added. Jian gasped and quickly handed you the glasses making you giggle.

"Now let's get into bed and sleep," you tucked him in and on your way out you kissed him goodnight.

"Shorter, why did I let you buy him sunglasses? He refuses to take them off now and he's gotten them taken away everyday at school for like a week now."

"It's cute isn't it?" Shorter teased.

"You got that boy acting just like you, you really put your mark on the kid." You shook your head playfully with a laugh.

"Well if you're down for another one then you can leave your mark on that one." Shorter pulled you in for a kiss.

"Yeah like that's happening tonight." You scoffed.

"What do you mean?" You held your hands up to count down and as if on cue Jian was in the room. You both watched silently as he crawled on the floor and took the sunglasses off the nightstand.

"Jian, whatcha doin bud?" Shorter spoke startling the boy.

"Nothing baba," Jian only called Shorter that when he wanted to get away with something.

"Can you put them back for me?" You could hear the glasses hit the nightstand as he set them back down.

"You should only wear glasses when it's sunny outside. You can wear glasses inside when you get big like me, okay?" Jian nodded although it was something he didn't want to hear. Shorter picked the boy up and took him back to his room to tuck him in again.

He could see Jian giving him the puppy dog eyes, but he wasn't going to give in so easily like he'd done in the past.

"You're not going to get them back if you keep looking at me like that." It was almost comical how hard Jian was trying.

"Fine," Jian wiggled free from Shorter's arms and tucked himself in.

"Goodnight bud."

"Night," Shorter chuckled at the sulking boy before leaving.
