Save her!

As he tightened his grip around her unconscious body, he could feel the last ounce of strength leave him.

As the final beep from his miraculous sounded, he braced himself. His transformation faded away in a blink of an eye, and he plummeted into the hard, cold ground with Marinette still in his arms.

Even though he was destined to feel the full impact of the remorseless force of gravity, he made sure to prevent it from harming his princess in any way possible.

As his back hit the ground, a loud thud instantly caught him by surprise. He groaned as a shockwave of instantaneous agony resonated throughout his being. It took him a second to realize his unfortunate fate, as he anxiously tried to blink the pain away.

His eyes shot open and looked at the body that currently lay upon his chest. He quickly reached for her, and gently pulled her off of him. Without wasting anymore time, he stood to his feet and picked her up; bridal style.

He could feel the tears starting to form as he looked down upon her pale face. If he hadn't felt her weak pulse, he would of immediately assumed the worst.

He was a little disorientated and couldn't seem to find any familiar landmarks. He knew time was almost up, and that was destroying any last ounce of hope that remained.

Despite the fact that he knew that Marinette's chance of survival was basically nonexistent, he continued to fight for her. He ignored his own pain, and just run ahead. She needed medical attention immediately.

The luminosity from the building ahead intensified as he got closer. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw the huge sign that read 'L'hôpital'. Even though he had no energy left in his broken body, he continued to run. And he ran like his life depended on it.

A moment that lasted an eternity had eventually come to an unexpected end. He made it to the entrance and collapsed under the weight of his painful failure.

Before he could even count to three, dozens of medical staff rushed to the scene. A young women with dark hair and blue eyes knelt down to Adrien's level with fear written all over her face.

When her hands rested upon his checks, Adrien looked away with streams of tears running down his face.

"Tell me what happened?" She began.

The boy remained still as he continued to weep; as he watched the rest of the doctors and nurses attend to the dying patient.

"Please save her!" He begged. His eyes were bloodshot and he felt faint.

As she was pulled up onto a hospital bed, he looked down at her body that was still drenched in blood.

Before he turned his face away from her, he heard his name being called out. It sounded as clear as day, and he became paralyzed with fear.

"Chat?" It was barely a whisper.

But when he looked at her again, she was still unconscious.

He couldn't take it anymore. He felt nothing but pain radiating from inside his chest. Was this the end?

He fell to the ground once again. He began to tremble with sadness and worry, as he watched them huddle around the dying girl.

As his shaking intensified, he felt a familiar hand rest upon his shoulder. He looked at the hand, then to the nurse. His eyes were still red from all the crying, and he looked exhausted.

"There, there," the young nurse tried her best to try and console him. "Do you mind telling me what happened?"

Adrien looked at the kind woman, then back to Marinette. Any moment now she would be taken away to be operated on.
