44. MIDNIGHT

Listen to the sound of the ocean,
Look at the sky and look at our mansion,
And I'm standin' here between the past and the future,
Enough with crying and I know I am a loser,
Singin' to the sound of loneliness,
Alone and in the midst of emptiness,
Look at them,
They're singing our national anthem,
And the wind is comin',
All worries are leavin',
They put your name in a jar,
They set a fire,
They lock your soul in a picture,
And they slowly burn your shadow.

They laugh and they laugh,
And thats all that they have,
They keep on comin',
And they keep on leavin',
They want you to lose,
They want to see you slowly dyin'.

A candle,
A pure soul,
And a shadow,
With some words,
In the middle of the woods.

Midnight!
It's the time to show them the light,
Dancing with evil hearts,
Naked mind and a deck of cards,
It's not a game,
Go and take your book,
Hold my hand,
Tell me that you're fine.
