The brightness of the full moon gives the small town of Forks a sense of safety and comfort despite the dangers that creep closer with every passing day. Slowly, an intimidating shadow blocks the light of the moon from the small town, a New Moon. This event casted an ominous feeling onto the people of Forks, Washington. Specifically, onto Daniella Swan.

Her feet hitting the ground was the only sound she could understand as she desperately ran through the woods, crushing the untouched flowers and greenery that covered the surface beneath her feet. She didn't know what she was running from, or to if that was the case.

She changed direction abruptly as a sudden sound filled her ears. The sound of yelling and... growling? As she burst through a few bushes she discovered a somehow familiar meadow, but instead of finding a fight, she saw a woman.

The woman wasn't much older than her probably around twenty to twenty-five. They began to walk closer towards each other untill they were a few feet apart. Daniella's face contorted into one of confusion. She didn't recognize the woman in front of her. As she went to ask who the woman was, Daniella heard shuffling from behind her.

Dani turned to see Jasper stepping out from the same bush she had. He looked as beautiful as the first moment she had seen him. But then she remembered something as he began to step out of the shadows casted down from the towering trees above him.

"Jazz, don't!" Daniella tried, but it was as if he couldn't hear her. He walked into the light of the sun that had somehow taken place of the moon she had sworn was shining in its place earlier.

His skin refelected the light like diamonds in the sun as he stepped closer and closer to her. She smiled softly as his hand reached out toward her. She reached out for his hand only for him to pass by her.

Dani watched as his hand grabbed onto the women's outstretched across from her. He gripped her hand tenderly, lovingly. As if they had been together for years.

Daniella's eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as she looked at their intertwined hands then to their faces. They were looking at each other with content. The look Jasper only had around her.

"Jazz..?" He looked over to her, his face void of any type of feelings toward her. That hurt her more than she thought was possible.

"What?" His voice was sharp, and to the point. She looked into his eyes hoping to somehow find a way to understand what was happening, but she couldn't find anything. She had no affect on him anymore.

"Jasper, what's going on? Why are you with her? I-I thought you loved me?" Her voice was small every ounce of confidence and assurance she had from being with him was gone. Dani didn't understand.

"You thought I loved you?" He asked, amusement laced his tone like the venom of a snake. "How could I ever love someone like you?" Jasper let out a bitter chuckle at the idea, "Especially when I could love someone as beautiful as her." He said looking over to the woman next to him with love filled eyes. He moved a piece of hair that had fallen into her face as she smiles shyly at him.

Daniella's heart broke at the words leaving Jasper's mouth. He loved her? Who even was she to him? Dani has always been the one, so what changed now?

"What?" Daniella's voice was filled with disbelief, "W-what are you talking about? You-you told me it was always me. What changed? I- we-... Jasper, please. Please don't do this. It's always been me and you. Always. Why now? Huh? After everything you said to me about my fears of you with Alice, why now? And with her?" Daniella had tears falling down her face as she took a step closer to the 'couple' across from her.

"I just told you what you wanted to hear, Daniella. Just think about it, how could I love you? I mean look at you," Jasper chuckled, suddenly a mirror was beside Dani leaning against a single tree beside them. Daniella saw what she did everytime she looked in the mirror: a nobody, a nothing, a waste of space.

"Happy Birthday, Daniella." She looked back at Jasper and the woman only to see them walking away from her. She tried following them, but her feet were planted in place out of pure shock and heartbreak. As they reached the tree line she watched them kiss before disappearing from her sight and between the trees of the dense forest.

Daniella's knees were suddenly to weak to hold her up as she fell onto the grassy ground. Numb to her feelings, tears continued to fall freely without her acknowledgement as she watched the love of her life slip right through her fingers and into the arms of another.
