Canada almost flew down the staircase as he rushed to grab a small granola bar and headed out the door. It was almost 7:00, and he wanted to get to his dad's house at least a little early. France suggested that the family get together for a small family meeting, and Britain apparently agreed. Canada, knowing his parents, knew that Britain most likely didn't agree very easily, though.

The red and white country rushed into his car and went off. It took him several hours, but he finally made it and got out of his car. He had his granola wrapper and keys in one hand, while knocking on the door with the other.

A symphony of barks was heard coming towards the door, followed by Britain yelling at them to shush and France laughing behind him. Canada chuckled along as well. The door opened to reveal his father in his normal day attire. He appeared as though he was discussing economy plans with his allies. That was one thing he found entertaining about the prior empire. By his father's feet were three small corgis, all yapping and barking away.

"Hello, son." Britain greeting Canada.

"Bonjour, mon fils!" France greeted as well.

"Hello, salut." Canada responded.

"It has been quite a while since I had seen you, Canada. It's nice to finally see your flag around every once in awhile."

"I most definitely agree! I had missed you so much." France embraced Canada, and Canada returned the hug with a small chuckle.

"I had missed you guys so much. It's nice to see you two as well. May I come in?" Canada replied.

France smiled warmly, "Oui, of course."

All three countries walked into the house. Due to the two of his parents being so small, the house wasn't very well suited for the second largest country in the world. Canada eventually sat on a couch in the living room. Not without Britain asking if he wanted tea, that is.

Once they all got seated, though, someone began knocking on the door once more. It was America, his sunglasses hiding his completely black eyes underneath. America, even with his cocky demeanor and stereotypical swagger with confidence dripping from every word he spoke, he was insecure about his eyes. He was the only country to have something like that in present day. Britain had had black eyes like him, France had told them all many stories of it, but he was a different story.

The barking and yelling and laughing repeated once more as America entered the small house.

"Heyo, y'all!" America laughed as he watched the corgis scurry around his feet. "Hey, UK. Hey, Lafayette. Hey, Fake Laf."

Canada laughed at his joke, "Oh, hush!"

"Never!" America responded as he found a place to sit.

Once they were finally all seated once more, they began conversing and talking about how things had been.

"Ugh, my states have been suffering so much lately due to the Global Warming. California keeps catching on fire, Florida keeps getting hit with angry water storms, and the north is getting their asses frozen off." America let out a stressed sigh.

Canada nodded, "Yeah, we've been getting tons of unseasonable weather lately as well. I know cold, but this year has just sucked so far."

France and Britain chuckled, "We've just been burning. Without air conditioning, the weather was unbearable in the summer!" France said.

"And you make fun of my people for having air conditioning in every building." America laughed.

Britain gave a small chuckle in response, "You've got us. But you are still a germaphobe."
