Reams and reams of buildings bathed in red light as the sun began to lower. Agent Twilight's heels clacked and echoed slightly through the quiet city as he was returning back from his short mission. His cheeks were flushed and his breath heavy. Drenched in sweat, he began slowing down as he approached his now called home.
"Honeyyy, I'm hooomee-" Twilight slurred until..

THUD.

W-wha? Did Loid say h-honey? Yor's thoughts began panicking in a frenzy, wondering what was happening! W-wait. Was that a THUD? Frantically, the concerned yet slightly flattered "wife" made her way over to the commotion... As soon as she got there, Anya was poking the face of a top world spy who was strewn across the doorway floor. Yor was taken back and she supposed even Anya was, poking him for exploration purposes. However, Anya rose her head and turned to her mother with a face drenched with snot and her tears streaming out of her eyes as if they were rivers.
"I-Is papa d-dead?" Snorted Anya solemnly.

"Anya honey, I think he's just a bit sick.."

The world's greatest spy was now laid on a beige couch, his blonde locks resting on a bright yellow pillow and his body covered with a small (barely covering his body) blanket, dotted with cartoon kittens on it. The petite esper threw her tiny hands in the air and said in a pleased voice, "I did it!". Yor popped her head from the kitchen into the living room, seeing her daughter having a broad line stretching across her face, sparkles seemed to surround her. Sweat dropped from Yor's temples as she saw the sight, she opened her mouth as to say something, yet figured it would be fine anyways. Yor took a step back into the kitchen.
Quickly, she grabbed a delicately decorated Chinese bowl and took hold of the ladle that was on the stove. She poured in a pleasant aroma of chicken soup into the bowl, as it steamed the room.

Anya, obviously intrigued by the scent, welcomed herself into the kitchen, taking a large sniff to show her appreciation. "Anya, you know what we've said about not entering the kitchen when ma doesn't want you to.." Yor spoke in a firm, motherly manner.
"Yes I know! But it smells so goo~d!" Anya exclaimed, ending her sentence with a small but noticeable sigh. The mother couldn't help but chuckle at the small problem the little lady was facing. Taking Anya into consideration, she stretched open the cupboard to reveal another China porcelain bowl.

"Once you've given this to pa, I'll let you have one of your own!" Yor truced, creating a look of content in Anya's eyes. In a messy rush, the young girl hobbled out of her seat and strut her way over to her mother and held out her hands in a confident manner. Then, as she received it, she began steadily making her way to her father. Yor knew this whole 'family' thing was a setup and just happened to be convenient for the two of them, but deep down...

She really liked this life. And she really wanted to live it..

The distressed mistress shook the uneeded thoughts out of her mind and turned her body back to the chicken soup. I hope Loid likes this..

Yor bit her lip unsteadily knowing such thoughts should be abstained, but she couldn't help but admire his position. His eyes locking on yours, and the tiny grin he pulls at the edge of one cheek. His sandy blonde locks that glimmer in the sunlight-

Unknowing to the motherly figure, her daughter cackled slightly to herself as she read the inclinations of her mom's thinking. However, this wasn't the first time a situation similar to this has happened. Yor's all knowing daughter knew everything..
Blissfully unaware, Yor brought her wrist to her face and blinked when she saw the time..

Blink.

7:30?!

She was late! How could she get so carried away in her own mischief? Suddenly , she started splashing the remaining soup into another free bowl and clunking it onto the wooden table. As she sat in the door way stairs; fumbling her shoes on, Anya decided to be helpful and hand her a chiffon dyed tote bag.
"Thank you Anya, remember to tell your pa to eat the soup I've made, okay?" Yor's face eased into a soft smile as she kissed the forehead of her acclaimed child. Anya, finding comfort in her mother, hugged her lower half tightly before allowing her to go to work. They both exchanged final waves as Yor slowly creaked the door slightly.

"Ma?"
"Yes Anya?"
" I love you!"
Yor's face froze, in a state of shock and realisation. Maybe I can't be her real mother.. but I suppose it doesn't hurt being the best mother figure for her!
A happy, content expression washed over Yor's face before shutting the door.
"Love you more..." the woman whispered just enough so the tiny girl could hear it. It was as if it was a magical present, only for the likes of her.
*click*

Stood boldly before the doorway, Anya took a final check on the door before beaming a passionate smirk.Ma's so cool! Taking her sweet time, she trotted to the living room, in which she fancied playing another spy mission, re-enacted  with  stuffed animals.

*Groan....*

As Anya jumped, her mind recollected any functionality before it realised...

I forgot Pa was still here!
