A young woman sat at her window, looking into the permanent darkness that covered her home. Why is it that I've become so bored with my current state? she thought in the endless darkness.

A sudden fleeting image of dark teal hair and cerulean blue eyes flashed in her mind causing her thoughts to pause, "So that's their child?" she said aloud to no one in particular. She remembered them well, the Phantomhives, and she felt a small lump in her throat rise as she remembered their deaths. "Filthy angels," she mumbled. She then smiled at the thought of her godchild, Ciel.

"Those filthy monsters, had the nerve to harm him! Father insisted that I let him be, but I made sure to have my spirit near him. Even in his mind he was never alone. My poor Ciel, now destined to be a demon's dinner." she sighed after her small rant. "I suppose it has been a while since I went to the human realm, and I must check on my darling Ciel!"

She knew of his trials during his kidnapping and the murder of his family. She knew of what awaited him during the summoning ceremony. She knew, and yet she could do nothing for him...until now.
