i hurriedly grabbed my things and left the gym after ng training namin pero napahinto ako nang may tumawag sa'kin, "de leon!" I turn around and saw ponggay waving at me. "shot tayo!" sabi niya at tumakbo papalit sa'kin kasama ang iba naming teammates.

"i can't. i have plans na e."

"sama kami!" sabi ni deanna.

"sorry next time na lang, i have plans with maddie kasi tonight." i answered

"Yan ang sinasabi ko e!" asar pa ni kim at sunod-sunod na silang nang-asaran kaya napatawa ako.

"sige na, i'll go ahead. bawi ako. next time it's on me. bye!" kumaway ako at tumakbo na papunta parking lot.

pagdating ko sa kotse nakasandal si maddie sa gilid habang nakatungo at nilalaro ang paa niya. what a scene, a beautiful scene.

lumapit ako sakanya, "hey, im sorry. let's go na?" tumango naman siya. she looks very tired. "is everything's fine?" tanong ko at pinagbuksan siya ng pintuan. tumango naman siya and then i smiled at her. nilagay ko ang bag ko sa likod at tumakbo papunta sa driver's seat.

"ikaw, 'di ka ba pagod?" umiling naman ako. "sure ka? we can skip naman today." tuminigin naman ako sakanya and gave her a smile. "im totally fine mads, don't worry." i said and winked at her na nagpairap nanaman sakanya. oh gahd this girl.

"parang andaming tao ngayon." sabi ni maddie habang nagtatanggal ng seatbelt. kaya napatingin naman ako sa harap, mukhang madami ngang tao.

We're here sa Sebastian's cafe. This is Maddie and I's wednesday hobby. Actually kay maddie lang dati but she somehow introduced this to me when we kinda made 'friends' with each other. May mga banda every wednesday, mostly indie or groups na nagccover and all. You can drink either coffee or beer but most of the time we're here for the coffee and waffles. And that's what we like about it, they serve breakfast 'til midnight.

Pumasok na kami and yes it's a bit jampacked pero may mauupuan naman. We decided to sit on the bar counter. "Hi ma'am Bea!" Bati ng waitress.

"Hi, the usual for us." Sabi ko.

"2 capuccino and waffles. Right ma'am?" The waitress said as her eyes glimmer.

"Ye--"

"Yes. Tsaka konting bilis. Thanks." Maddie said and rolled her eyes. Tumango naman ang waitress at umalis na.

"Hey are you sure you're fine?" Tanong ko.

"Yes, im fine. She's obviously flirting with you, ayaw ayusin ang trabaho." And for the nth she rolled her eyes. I chuckled. "Atsaka gutom na ako ang tagal mo kasi."

"Okay okay, i get it. But you don't have to do that to her, baka naman she's friendly lang. And besides, i won't flirt back. I have you remember?" I chuckled kaya napabuntong hininga siya and she seem calm now.

After a few minutes dumating na 'yung order namin. "2 cappucino and waffles po."

"Thank you." Sagot ni Maddie. Patalikod na sana 'yung waitress pero pinigilan niya, "and sorry for my attitude a while ago." Sabi niya and gave the poor girl a slight smile.

"So how's your day?" I asked.

"Same. Nakakapagod, good thing we have this, a little breather for the week." She said and sipped her coffee.

As I admire Maddie while she munch down her waffles. I can't help but sometimes ask questions to myself. How can someone be this calming? I mean, is that even possible that you find peace when you're with someone? Cause that's honestly what Maddie brings. After a long day of chaos, i will find myself at peace when im with her. And these are the days i will never trade for anything.
