Letting out a loud sigh, I closed my WalkerVision and put the glass in the dishwasher. Catching a glimpse of my appearance in the reflective surface of the fridge made me immediately heading over to the bathroom to get a real shower.

A couple of minutes later I turned off the water, putting some new clothes on - even though I decided to keep Alan's hoodie - and starting to hot air dry my hair. Tying my still slightly damp hair up into a pony tail, I put the air dryer back to its place and closed the door, putting on my shoes.

I left the dorm with a last glance, before I covered up my neck mecha again, and started to head down towards the hall, keeping my head lowered to escape all the glances from the sides. After arriving in the big cafeteria I grabbed myself a plate and got myself something warm for breakfast.

Quietly and quickly eating my meal at an empty desk somewhere in a corner, I was checking my phone, scrolling through some Twitter news, as well as replying to my friend in Austria on WhatsApp. We hadn't chat in quite some time and I was more than glad that she was indeed able to at least conjure a small smile onto my face.

It didn't took me long until I finished my meal and I turned off my phone, putting it back into the hoodie pocket and bringing back the dirty dishes to the kitchen. The cafeteria was halfway filled, many Walkers were sitting in small groups, some with casual clothes, some in the usual hoodies, some identifiable as hospital workers.

But the bandages and wounds were present everywhere, slightly pressuring the otherwise quite relaxed atmosphere, alongside with the all present death, still haunting the centres cold and empty corridors.

I let out a resignated sigh, leaving the slightly noisy cafeteria and made my way over to the hospital to volunteer to heal smaller wounds or for check ups if possible. My hands buried in the hoodie pocket, I was slowly walking through the corridors towards the hospital, humming a silent melody I wasn't sure where it came from.

A few Walkers passed me, curtly nodding into my direction before continuing to walk their way. But besides that, the corridors were entirely empty, only my lonely footsteps echoing down the long way. It was a kinda depressing sight, but I wasn't really noticing it.

My attention was more focussed on following the signs to find the hospital, wanting to pay everyone I might know a visit. Suddenly, quicker steps caught up to mine and I slightly turned my head, seeing a familiar looking blonde woman next to me.

I wasn't able to recognise her name or ID in the first second, but the glitches around her hand when she raised it to shake mine, immediately gave me a hint of who she is.

"Hey! Thought I could finally introduce myself! #14747 or Ghost as some call me. Sometimes even Spectre!" She introduced herself widely smiling, her blue eyes shining bright. I took her hand in slight confusion. "Christine, nice to meet you!"

She replied with a wide smile, keeping up with my pace in ease. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to introduce myself properly earlier, it was all so chaotic! When I saw you walking here in the same direction as I had to go, I thought I could take the chance right here and then!" Ghost continued, talking like a waterfall, the smile on her face always present.

Ghost paused for a second, still grinning. I took this as my chance to squeeze something into the conversation.

"Hey, I'm heading down to the hospital ward, wanna come?" I asked, smiling.

Ghost's face lit up in excitement. "Of course! Let's go!" She said, bounding down the hallway in front of me.

I chuckled quietly and tried to catch up to her before we made it to the hospital ward where Cami was. It was busy as soon as we entered through the two huge doors, Walkers in white clothing passing us by, medical terms being shouted across the corridors. But in comparison to yesterday, it definitely has calmed down.

Ghost pulled me aside into the waiting area. "I will ask what I can do, it was nice to see ya! Do you have time later?" She smiled at me and I nodded, surprised.

"Sure!" Spectre grinned even wider.

"Alright! I'll message you on you WV! See ya later!" And then, she disappeared into a cloud of glitches, off to help.

Cami walked into me, focused on something else. We both laughed and took a step backwards.

"Oh hey! How's it going, Chris? Everything okay?" Cami asked, her eyes twinkling.

I nodded, grinning. "Yeah, everything's pretty good! Just wanted to know how Andreas is, actually." I awkwardly paused. "And you, too. How are you?"

Cami chuckled. "Well, it's busy, and I'm pretty damn tired, but as long as I have something to do and it's helping someone, I'm happy. So yeah, I'm pretty happy. And Andreas is doing well, too. If you want to catch up with him, he's probably in his room, just knock and he'll probably be up for a chat!"

Cami stepped back. "Well, I've gotta keep working, I'll see you later, okay?"

I smiled. "Yeah, of course! See you!" Looking down at my watch, I checked the map of the hospital, keeping an eye out for Andreas ID. Frowning in confusion at the sight of Kyrre's ID in the same room as his, I made my way over to his room.

Nearly at his room, I heard someone jogging up behind me and was surprised to see Alan behind me, dressed entirely white. "Hey!" I smiled surprised and pulled him into a tight hug. He gave me a quick kiss on the forehead. "You okay?" Alan muttered and I smiled slightly, nodding.

"I'm just going to say hi to Andreas, and see how he's getting along." I smiled.

"That's exactly what I was going to do!" Alan giggled. I pushed the door open after knocking, entering the room. "Andreas?" Alan asked into the room and we walked around the corner, finding Andreas laying in his bed, several tubes hooked up to his arm. Both Andreas and Kyrre looked up in surprise, Andreas' cheeks flushing red.

I think Alan and my eyes must have seen it the same second. While I was trying to figure out the situation, Alan's jaw dropped to the floor. Andreas and Kyrre hustled to untwist their hands, Andreas hiding it under the blanket.

Kyrre opened his mouth to speak but Andreas couldn't wait to explain everything before his embarrassment overcame him.

"We, uh. We've been, um..." Andreas stuttered. "We're in love."

Kyrre smiled and continued for Andreas. "And we have been for about six months now."

Andreas chuckled. "Surprise."

We both stood there for a second, stunned.

"You.." I started, a smile growing on my face uncontrollably. Alan next to me stepped forward a little, blinking continuously.

"I..." He muttered. "This is one big surprise, lillebror..." He chuckled and walked over to the two, greeting his best friend, before he sat next to his brother, hugging him sideways in an effort to not pull out his tubes. He then moved onto Kyrre again, who he embraced with such an emotional hug that I thought I myself might cry.

"I knew it." A voice said from the doorway, a sense of laughter and joy in her voice. Cami grinned. "You two are so cute together."
