—PRESENT

it has been a few weeks since the new
boys' first day at northridge high
school. and since, jack has been
keeping an eye on him, learning the
bits of information that floated around
the school.

he discovered that his name was
zachary herron, but would go by zach
dean. he moved to pennsylvania
because his old home town was flooded
with crime. he's a big smoker as well.
always skipping class to be in the
gentlemen's bathroom, if not to simply
smoke a cig, then in hopes of getting high.

jack wanted to know everything about
zach dean.

so when jack got out of his car with the
prettiest smile on his face and saw zach,
leaning against the cold brink walls of the
outer school, he knew he must talk to him
while he had the chance.

he saw zach shiver because of the cold
temperature. the brunet wrapping his
leather jacket around him tighter as he
breathed in the smoke of the cigarette
in his hand.

jack skipped towards him, smiling
brightly.

" hi! "

when being met with the curls, zach
immediately knew who the boy was.
jack avery was a name in everyone's
mouth; every person at the school
saying he was the kindest and most
innocent boy of them all.

" what're you doing out here, baby boy?
shouldn't you be inside where the warm
is? "

jack continued to smile, his cheeks and
nose having a natural blush because of
the cold.

" i could be, but i wanted to talk to you. "

zach threw his cigarette on the ground,
burning it out and walking closer to the
shorter boy.

each step led the both breathless.

" did you now? "

zachs hand grabbed at jack's small neck,
feeling when he would swoll his own saliva.
this new found fear excited jack, wanting
to feel his cold hand against his warm neck
more then zach will ever know.

zach looked dead into the chocolate eyes of
jack avery, smirking devilishly.

" you better leave before you can't, babe. a
pretty boy like you doesn't wanna get
wrapped up in my world."

zach had finally found his new victim,
jack avery. the light of everyone's life.
