Revenge

You've accumulated a pile of charred hearts,
Remains and ashes of worlds fallen apart,
Flying through the wind,
For them to never come back again.

In that trail of burnt embers is the remnants of my stability,
Getting caught in the branches and leaves
Of trees, way too high up to reach.

There, look!
It's my secret!
Watch as it flies under the noses of the people of this petty town.

Oh, and there goes my tranquility,
Sailing in the wind,
Reaching hell fires I wish you burn in too.

I'm in ruins, you're in robes,
I fall to my knees,
Begging,
'Please,
Spare me,
Please,'
While the jewels of your crown glimmer in the light from
The fires set to my name.

I began to feel heat surround me,
Everything seemed to burn,
Embers to ashes, ashes to ashes,
Stinging my eyes as the
Waterfalls began to fall down my cheeks,
The insecurities were rebuilt inside of me with the help of
My scars, they were scratched open
Crimson red, refreshed and raw,
Reminding me of who I was and
It seemed like the end for me.

My decomposition was just a show for you.
You watches without pity or grace or a change of face.
No sign of sympathy, no trace of disgrace;
All I ever seem to see in your eyes is pure causticity,
Causticity,
Causticity.

...But don't you think for a second that I'm fragile.

Y'know, I think somebody should
Put you back in your place,
Show you fake love,
Show you real hate.

My dishevelled but still functional mind
Will find a way torture you from time to time,
Give you a lesson of respect,
Show you how to reflect on your actions,
On your words-
Goodness, your words,
I'd rip your tongue out of your mouth if I could
And promptly neutralise the toxicity,
I'm sure I would.

I'll make you feel my pain,
Show you my state of disarray.
I'll pass my bleeding heart on to you
And make sure it stays with you through and through.

I'll fight my way to the top,
Non-stop,
To show you that I'm way more capable than you've initially thought.

Sure, I'm insolent;
So what? So are you,
So is everyone else
In this petty town,
In this petty world.

Yes, perhaps I am overreacting,
But I have great reason to
Fight against your treason
On behalf of all those you hurt;
This is our revolt!

I'll smile and gladly let the blood on my hands drip
Down my arm, touching scars
That I'm giving back
To you.
