Maia who was still watching let out a scream which was neither a high pitched squeal or a low pitched yell. "Who spoke," the dragon said in a cruel snarl as he let go of the crumpled body of Ihaia. "I did," said Maia in a courageous yell. "I spoke and I will speak some more". The Taniwha was interested and highly ever got challenged so he played along. "Show yourself" The Taniwha spoke. Maia was trembling and ran to a man and took his bow and arrow. "I spoke, for I am Maia daughter of Ihaia" as she pulled the quiver and the arrow flew into the dragons eye. It let out a cry but, a withered one becuase it was dying and soon it was sprawled on the ground becuase no life lay in the body. "Nikau get all the women and bring them here, we will explore the great forest and take camp their, lead them Nikau, lead them as my father would. A tear rolled down Maia's cheek. "My fathers only mistake was underestimating women and what they can be," Maia said, "I hope you will not make this mistake Nikau". "For once I won't now walk we must get their fast before the night goes dark walk like the how a cheetah runs".
