The thought of my uncle still nauseates me until today. The way he treated me was inexplicable. I was only 12 for God's sake.

I remembered how he forced himself onto me. His ridiculously large hands clasping around my neck to keep me down, preventing me from getting any air. His other hand slowly undressing my lower half as I cried out helplessly.

I did everything I could.

I punched his arm, scratched it, tried kicking around–but who was I kidding. Compared to him I had no chance of winning against him at all. At some point I ended up throwing up all over myself resulting to disgusting him. He instantly let's go of my limp body before cursing down at me.

I crawled away from him only to get my ankle grabbed. I let out a sob as my body easily gets dragged. I remembered clearly how he slapped me across the face before harshly tugging my body closer towards the boiling kettle in the kitchen.

I remembered myself begging and pleading for him to let go of me. When I saw him take the boiling kettle into his hands, anxiety instantly seeps into my chest. I screamed as loud as I could hoping he wouldn't be doing exactly what I was thinking he was going to do. I prayed and prayed and prayed for my parents to just come and pick me up already.

Unfortunately.

My prayers weren't answered.

Once I felt the scorching hot water poured all over my eyes, it honestly didn't feel like I was alive anymore. After he finished pouring the hot water onto my face he continued groping and touching my parts, me, not really being able to do much anymore.

I didn't even notice but by the time I was finally conscious my parents had already arrived. I could faintly hear their frantic voices.

The person holding my body, my uncle, finally let me go as I dropped down lifelessly onto the floor. And then I heard my mother's voice cry out, before engulfing me in a hug. I frantically hugged her back as she held my trembling and scared state.

And then that was when I realized.

I couldn't see.
